Looks new and I haven't seen it before and I reckon I've seen every episode up to season 12 5+ timesIs it?
I've watched the majority of eps now since I was about 4. It's all become a blur. Admittedly I still watch the new eps but they don't do it for me now.
Ahh 6pm every week night on channel 10 and 7.30pm on Wednesdays. Those were the days.Looks new and I haven't seen it before and I reckon I've seen every episode up to season 12 5+ times
I seem to remember 7.30 on Fridays instead of Wednesdays but good times nonethelessAhh 6pm every week night on channel 10 and 7.30pm on Wednesdays. Those were the days.

this is the difference between simpsons now and then. were as then they were creating cultural references - we used to walk around the playground all the time saying 'i was saying boo-urns' or the all time most hated teachers episode because everyone would scream on their way to class the next day 'everybody loves me, i am so brave, i am so brave'... and many others. One of my all time favourite quotes. Rip that out at random times.
This post is spot on, I couldn't agree more. I have kept up to date with the Simpsons episodes and have noticed the shift from the late noughties. They seem content to pander to the trendiest cultural references these days; introducing crappy celebs, shit songs and modern day devices (hello plethora of Apple product placements).this is the difference between simpsons now and then. were as then they were creating cultural references - we used to walk around the playground all the time saying 'i was saying boo-urns' or the all time most hated teachers episode because everyone would scream on their way to class the next day 'everybody loves me, i am so brave, i am so brave'... and many others.
now that just doesn't happen. they are usually copying cultural references and when they do it it's the shitter parts of western culture such as the couch scene that became a harlem shake video or the keisha song... previous cultural references where usually quite witty and funny such as the north by northwest scene or the "quick smithers, i've created the spruce moose, hop in"...

So they killed off Barney apparently?
And reading the reddit thread, apparently Edna was killed off as well.
