Discovered that I'm held in quite a high regard in that team which can only help. Don't start officially in the role until Monday. Funnily enough, everyone will be on leave that week so it will just be her and I. I think I'll discover more then.

In the meantime, I'm having fun emailing her.

I have this horrible thing where I go bright red in the face whenever I'm embarrassed. Normally occurs when I'm talking to someone I like so the emailing thing is a good way to build a rapport with her until I have to work side by side.

I'm not holding my breath but I am a little hopeful that something might come of it :)

Probably a good idea not to hold your breath. If you go red as it is a nice shade of blue mixed in May be the wrong look your going for

I have a terrible habit of being really clumsy or embarrassing myself in front of guys that I have a crush on. Mr. Friendzone at work has seen me get a slinky stuck in my hair, miss a chair when I've gone to sit down, busted me dancing and singing in the corridor, etc etc.

No bloody wonder I'm single!

I'm going to have to talk to her regularly so the redness will disappear very quickly. Once I get to know someone, I'm fine. It's just the initial contact that makes me nervous.

I don't expect anything to happen but I'm not ruling anything out :)

Just be open to the universe Jatzy. It's amazing what comes into your life when you're not looking or you least expect it...maybe there's some other fabulous girl (but not quite a goddess) waiting in the wings also.

I'm not picky. The goddess isn't perfect. For one, she doesn't even know what AFL means haha

That's not embarrassing. All of those things are cute haha. The slinky thing may also have been painful.
 
It's been a long time since I've had a crush on someone, but I tend to be the opposite of you guys - I tend to withdraw and look really uninterested, almost cold. Sometimes I think it might be better to be the 'going red' or 'awkward' type, tbh!
