Cheers mate. It's kinda daunting, and not having been single in ages does kinda **** with my head, but hey onwards and upwards from here.

Exactly.
Almost everything has been sorted out with my ex, so once everything has been taken care of there then it's clean air and time to get my life back off hold.

For example you're wondering why the guy didn't kiss you on the first date, and trying to work out why that's the case. There's so many different answers to that, you'll just drive yourself crazy thinking about it. Me personally, i'm probably less likely to go for the big first kiss with someone i really like, which probably goes against what many people would naturally think. I see it as being respectful and genuine rather than portraying myself as looking for one thing, and it means more to me if there is a good buildup towards it. If someone isn't interested there is generally many other red flags before it comes to the kiss.

Its a fine line between polite and boring unfortunately isn't it. I mean its not always a good thing to blurt out political opinions with someone new, but if they're just always sitting on the fence about everything then its just boring tedium.

Glad to hear mate. As long as the outcome is what genuinely will make you happier in the long run, that's good.

Ahhh, cheers, thanks for clearing that up! That makes a lot of sense.

I find people who either don't have an opinion, or who can't articulate it properly, boring. I'm very vocal and opinionated, and I need to be challenged and shown other perspectives. It's what gives me energy, I'm very much a true extrovert.

As long as you are able to distinguish between shy and boring people, that's the main thing IMO. Shy people can often be a gold mine of awesomeness once they feel comfortable to get outside their shells and express themselves around new people.

Fair to say the last 12 months we were together were pretty awful.
Even though it was tough initially both of us deserve to be happy and that's what we're both hoping for in the long run.

Of course. I mean we could have drifted along like we were, doing some patchwork on the relationship just to eek out another 6 months. But in truth we had already been doing that anyway. So we decided to make a break, and get on with our lives. Just over 4 months on, I already realise this was the right decision.

Just had the worst conversation with the goddess at work haha. Like laughably bad.

My new promotion means I'll be working next to her for 50 - 60 hours a week. I might as well quit now haha.

Calling it spawning is great, just gives me visions of Aliens bursting from chests!

The more you talk to her at work the more comfortable you'll be around her and she'll just become another work colleague.
Don't go in there with any pre-conceived nervousness. You'll be fine mate.

Yeah, think you're right. Don't really have the time to be nervous with her to be honest, it's probably a blessing in disguise.
