How so? It's a ridiculous article for all along the spectrum.
Unless that's the point.

There's a huge gap between "I don't want to invest my money in this thing" and "This thing can't make money".Most of the richest women are self made risk takers, that's how they made it, why would they suddenly become risk averse? Maybe they aren't risk averse, maybe they simply see it is not a realistic proposition.
There's also plenty of middle ground. Why hasn't it happened? Why wouldn't you take the chance if it's going to make money? What will the investor lose apart from money? There's a huge gap between "I don't want to invest my money in this thing" and "This thing can't make money".

Oh sorry missed that! I tried to avoid this thread and did well until Gayle!Huh?
We were talking about calling girls "moles" a few pages ago... lol
Oh ok, so you don't know what appetite for risk is.There's also plenty of middle ground. Why hasn't it happened? Why wouldn't you take the chance if it's going to make money? What will the investor lose apart from money?
I have a laymans understanding yes, but you haven't identified the non financial risk. You have also applied the aversion to nearly every individual and corporation in the WORLD in regards to female sport. You are assuming the cultural values of all companies who have not invested in female sport do so for similar reasons...but you also haven't identified the reasons.Oh ok, so you don't know what appetite for risk is.
The great thing about casual racism, casual sexism, casual misogyny, the various casual sexual orientated-phobias is that because it's been so ingrained in the older generations culture that:
No matter how hard you try to convince them, they will never understand what they're doing is wrong.
Jerk is my go to insult... Along with bozo.

You didn't actually read the article, did you? Completely different type of mole being discussed there.Huh?

You're one step away from bubble-headed booby."Ninny" for me.
It's an upbringing and ingraining issue. If you've been brought up being taught that casual derogatory remarks aimed at individuals different to yourself are normal and the longer you believe that what you're doing is acceptable the worse it gets. Over time it becomes so ingrained in yourself that someone telling you it's not acceptable anymore they take it as a personal attack.Do you seriously think this is mostly an age issue?
Only in so far as it seems to be commonly accepted/expected by society that when you hit 40 you never have to change your mind again.Do you seriously think this is mostly an age issue?
This one is far better, less wordy and far more direct than my rambling response.Only in so far as it seems to be commonly accepted/expected by society that when you hit 40 you never have to change your mind again.

Oh its there too, but you're less likely to get excuses about being too old to change, like thats an option to be.I must be the exception that proves the rule.
Seriously though and I have to mostly go by what I read some of the most vicious sexism around now emanates from young people.
