One positive I think we can take out of this finals series is in how Brisbane won the PF and GF

A lot of talk that the game has become a turnover game and clearances aren't as important anymore. Brisbane absolutely dominated those areas against Collingwood and Geelong

Free Agency makes it impossible for the smaller clubs to compete. The strong teams add talent from the bottom teams to always stay up the top.
We have lost two top tier players for p1ss poor compensation, magic beans which even if they make it require 3 too 4 years development to get close to what you had.

Geelong fans talking about "advantages" Brisbane have are far beyond the pale with the pot calling the kettle black. Geelong are the only team in the entire league that has a significant and unique home ground advantage, as when they host Victorian teams down in Geelong they enjoy a home ground advantage similar to interstate teams, but do not have a disadvantage when they travel up to Melbourne as their fans can also make the drive (or are also in Melbourne). This is before even mentioning the ability to train where they play, giving them an additional home ground advantage not even enjoyed by the other interstate teams (such as Brisbane).
