Are they though?

Talk of relocating Roos ‘won’t go away’

18 months can be a long time in football....

SimpkinByTheDockOfTheBay Any update on when your board will be voting with the other clubs on St Kilda's status in the competition due to their financial situation?

"Let's assume for the moment that it's North Melbourne we're talking about...."

Socialising an idea with the public is the first step of making an idea a fact. Do you reckon Eddie sat at home putting this presentation together? Someone has written it for him to present. I wonder who? Perhaps SimpkinByTheDockOfTheBay can use his insights into AFL House to answer this for us?

If you use Eddie McGuire your argument is immediately invalid. I mean cmon, you surely have better stuff than this right?

His idea makes sense tbh. Not sure re "22 Home Games" as they would need to play 2-3 at either WA, SA or Brissie locations but other than that its a good move if Tasmania is to be adopted in the short term

I suppose. It's not like he'd have any connections into AFL House, the AFL clubs (having been president of one) or the media industry (having been the CEO of Channel 9). Shrug it off and assume he did spend time out of his cocaine fuelled schedule to knock out this presentation for the interests of his viewing public.

Yep I agree, could be the 1st step to get us all used to the idea, then bam, it happens, but, there is also a twist (which usually happens also) it's not North and it's not Tassie.

Thats a fair point! But it's still an asset. So if st kilda are in a horrendous position then north must he in serious strife. Given the gap in revenue, membership and assets.
Then explain to me how North are debt free? LoL

Tell me how North can host the saints at an empty docklands and turn a profit? LoL

Tell me how North have no debt and saints are 13 million in debt?

I reckon this has been explained a hundred times across the course of the thread.
St Kilda are in debt because:
Historical debt.
Poor decision to move to Seafood.
Moorabbin redevelopment.
Football club spend.

North Melbourne have no debt because:
Don't maintain training facilities properly.
Under resource football department.

One of these situations is a disaster.

Was it 13 million in debt?

Or has it dropped down to 8-9 million?

Are the saints gonna North their way out of this?

It was $9 million ish at the end of last season and projected to be reduced by the same amount again this year.

Again, explained a number of times...
No, St Kilda are going to do the opposite of North. North have contracted the business to meet costs, St Kilda are trying to grow the business to meet costs.
Try to start reading the thread instead of just posting in it.

Maybe North and Saints fans should show a bit of camaraderie in this thread in meme format
