Good news, wonders what the likelihood will be the upper house mostly vote the same.25-9
They've only committed to half the funding atm. I reckon if she votes yes she'll get the lot.She will get it in the next budget this one is just a stop gap one due to no confidence/election

It all comes down to Bec Thomas and Dean Harris. If they both go for the stadium option, it’s a 9-5 vote. If only one does, it’s 8-6. But if they both say no, it ends in a tie, and that probably means the Tasmania Devils’ dreams are over.Good news, wonders what the likelihood will be the upper house mostly vote the same.

The speaker should break convention and votes yes. 25-9 in the lower house, no binding reason to vote it down against your party.if they both say no, it ends in a tie, and that probably means the Tasmania Devils’ dreams are over.

It won’t come down to that deals will be done before the vote in DecemberThe speaker should break convention and votes yes. 25-9 in the lower house, no binding reason to vote it down against your party.
Rockcliff got support to govern from independents at the last hung election parliament buy giving certain independents extra parking spaces and bigger offices, it’s shows how trivial things can get and how easily people can be broughtBribery

That seems to be what she's pushing for. Every time she's asked about the stadium she brings up the need to fund community sport.Bribery
One down. One to go.
Nothing to stress about she will 100% vote yes![]()
Key MLC Bec Thomas still undecided on Macquarie Point stadium
Bec Thomas: With all my heart, I want to support this project…pulsetasmania.com.au
I get Bec Thomas frustration. She's genuine with her support for stadium but Tas Gov really dragging their feet over giving her some answers to her questions.
Agree.Nothing to stress about she will 100% vote yes
We applied to join there competition we were offered a license with set conditions which we accepted and agreed to, all this crap about us being blackmailed buy the afl is plain stupidNo roof no entry to the competition? How is that not blackmail?
Wish I was as confident lolNothing to stress about she will 100% vote yes
Yeah they could stuff all of Tassie over this
But why should the AFL want a team in Tasmania absent a good stadium? An undeveloped Bellerive simply cannot generate the tens of millions of dollars per year needed to operate a team from its Tasmania home games - there's not enough seats in the stadium or corporate facilities to put your $1000 a season coterie style members and sponsors in.Don't be fooled by the spin. The afl could alter the entry conditions to make it work for the team to come even if the MLCs vote down the stadium. But the afl dont want to. People need to assess the situation for what it actually is not what the headlines look like.
An undeveloped Bellerive ….why not redevelop it; has a picturesque outlook…already in place, short drive from the airport…?But why should the AFL want a team in Tasmania absent a good stadium? Why would the afl change there minds , I imagine they learned a very expensive lesson from the Gold Coast expansion not having everything prepared and rushing means its taken 10 years and a unbelievable amount of money and concessions to correct, basing the club at Bellerive on a permanent basis would be a unbelievable clusterDon't be fooled by the spin. Have you ever been there? Theres not enough room it was looked into and it was stated they would need to Aquire 80 surrounding properties/houses to have the sufficient space to upgrade to the required size can you imagine the uproar that would cause. An undeveloped Bellerive ….why not redevelop it; has a picturesque outlook…already in place, short drive from the airport…?
Dude, this has been discussed a million times over both here and as well as in every planning element for the new stadium. An undeveloped Bellerive ….why not redevelop it; has a picturesque outlook…already in place, short drive from the airport…?
