The MRP are a bunch of frikn idiots. The AFL are so concerned with their corporate image being tarnished, they really dont care about the history of the game and what 99% of the supporters want.

MRP offered Freo's O'mera a 1 week ban for a perfect tackle on a guy who tried to fend off. Should have been holding the ball but the ump calls a free kick for dangerous tackle and he gets a week for a "medium impact". Compare this to the tackle by deGoey recently who swung the guy around and his head hit the ground and was dazed. Got a fine.

AFL - "well we cant have our superstars out of the game, what would the sponsors think?"

Bloody hell, what kind of game is this becoming?

This thread is way too sensible for this board and shame on you for trying to make us think and actually use our brains here at the bay for once. Move this to the AFL main board immediately!
goddamit!
Of all the posters to comment on this thread, it had to be the pending 2023 FOTY.

I'd be more concerned with what your own club is doing to the state of the game as opposed to the MRP!
No need to worry about suspensions when you can't get anywhere near the ball.
To be fair the MRO aren't performing that much better than West Coast, so I can see why the worry.

They jumped the shark when they agreed to let Tasmania in tbh :(

Common sense that you espouse is not welcomed at AFL House or by the MRP!

No it was when they didn't expel Essendon for drug cheating.
Lucky for us we now have Brad “Master Coach” Scott at the helm.

I wonder what his thoughts are on innovative and groundbreaking sports science advances?

The MRO have always been notorious for making bad decisions.

Look at things like Barry Hall's punch on Staker. And dare I say it, Cotchin's hit on Sheld.

There has always been rules for thee and not for me in the AFL.

hard to argue that the MRP are a not a bunch of nuffies, although a few charges were thrown out, they still gave Sicily a weeks holiday for being best on ground against the Aints, cant have a bad boy playing so well, and have basically gifted Port a win.

To be fair, the MRO have only just started their rebuild

Look, we all know the Eagles are a rabble - there are thousands of threads on the bay gloating about our downfall.

This was a poor attempt to deflect.

and dont forget the "well he is in contention for the Brownlow, better just give him a fine"

This is true, I am sure we can give them 5-10 more seasons before we call for their sacking.... maybe.
