This post (and Freo's performance on Saturday night) has pretty much convinced me that the 2012 apocalypse is definitely upon us.

In all seriousness, it's a brave act to so vocally admit that the opinions you held may have been made a touch hastily. Respect. We've made some positive steps this year, and although there are many more to go, our admin has helped put us in the best position possible.

Long time reader since 2010, but I've only just signed up this week, so I know this is a very sensitive topic to some people around here, and quite frankly, it really makes for a boring read.

It's a cold world out there and the Steves saw the need to forget the self-righteous bullshit and do what's necessary to move forward, right or wrong is simply a matter of perspective. Opposing change for fear of it or for ethical reasons is just silly. Freo needs to let go of it's abysmal history and move forward no matter what to become successful. Swift action, no matter how ruthless, is better than no action and sinking into obscurity. I'd rather see more events like the Lyon appointment than achieve nothing in the modern times, like antique clubs such as Melbourne FC, all because they can't get with the times.

Steve Harris was right, I want to see Freo players play with a bit more discipline and toughness, play finals, and win premierships.

I mean, what's the point of supporting a football team if it's just another thing that drags you down like that by just focusing on the irrelevant pasts happenings and the negatives.

As Ross Lyon says, "Just live in the moment", do that, forget the past, and enjoy the good times to come for FFC.

Just enjoy the footy, bro.

I was going to go to Adelaide for this game, but the wife won't let me sell the dog to raise the funds, so will probably be yelling at the umpires from my loungeroom in Forrest Hill. A few beers in a pub in Ferntree Gully could be a better way of watching the game - ya up for it?

Look I'm planning on heading to the Irish Pub at Knox City on Friday night to watch the game and if we can get more than 1 Freo supporter and some Adelaide fans along, it'd make for a good night indeed

Yeah mate all too often... I didn't say we can't disagree on topics and threads would be pointless if people all followed each others opinions blindly.

On the ‘Steves’ I believe Freo could have handled the Harvey/RL case a little better. I also wouldn’t want to go back to the Connolly Schwab days and think the Steves have Freo on the right path to success.

I also have no idea of the behind closed doors situation on the dealing that went on to get Ross Lyon but if it wasn’t for the Steves we probably wouldn’t have him coaching and I doubt Harvey has the same ability to make Freo as professional as what they are today.
