Are you going to training tomorrow? I like your Collingwood reports.
I’m staying in surfers. How would I go about getting there? What time do they start?

I believe they usually start at 8am. I would probably call the club to make sure it's on. I am sure local fans (Mr Bods) could help with how to get there.I’m staying in surfers. How would I go about getting there? What time do they start?

I drive. From Surfers I think I’d just get an Uber to Metricon. If she was to go to training I’d ring up too. The times are different and if it’s in Metricon rather than the usual training ground next door you need someone to let you in.
If I were a young lady like you and up here on a short holiday then tonight I’d go to a restaurant in Broadbeach early then go to the Sports Bar at the casino and watch the cricket.
Then kick on at the Casino till late. Maybe go to Retros at Surfers and then have a good sleep in tomorrow morning.
Then a late breakfast and a swim, a chilled afternoon and then off to HOTA for the launch.
but that’s just me.
I’m here with Mum bars aren’t really my thing. I’m a quiet and simple girl. Mum and I spent the day walking around the shops throughout Cavill ave and along the beach. Went down to the river.
Chilling out for the night. Will head down to the hotels restaurant.
Tomorrow I’ll take an uber down to Metricon to see if they are training on the outside ground. Then mum and I are doing the hopo ferry until I head off to The launch.

I’m a bit surprised. If they are done this would the perfect opportunity. Why the delay?

I don’t know what they were thinking having it at a big outdoor venue like they did.Can anybody say how many people attended last night. The image that the Suns media put up was kind of embarrassing - taken early in the evening when there were three people and a dog in attendance! Not sure if anybody oversees what is being posted but putting that image up only invited the opposition clubs to dive in with their 'fold' and go away comments.
Please tell me that a good crowd showed up later in the night!
...and before anybody has a snipe, we had a family situation last night that prevented me going or I would have been there.
Just not a Queenslander type thing to attend IMO. Queenslanders only attend games in good numbers when their team is winning. This is something where the team isn’t even playing. This “season launch” thing is a bit of a non-event in anyone’s language. Should’ve tagged it onto a pre-season intra-club or Marsh Series game a bit closer to the start of the real footy season at Metricon, our real home. I’ll be attending at least one of them, and I’d guarantee the numbers will be much better.
I don't understand a "season launch"
With events like this in any sphere of human endeavour you really only have to ask yourself one question
"Would you miss it if it didn't happen?"
Memo to Club- the best season launch is a fully fit playing list for round 1 and a few wins first up
Yeah I have no issues with it - particularly with the womens team launchThe Titans one is usually pretty similar. Down at the Movie World stage and the players sign some autographs.
Low key family and community fare is just fine for our lifestyle.
