Manchester where Ferguson will make room for him? He will go to Manchester, but when the time's right.

He left Inter because he'd come at the end there. The team was old and there was no money to bring in new players. In Madrid he's got a young team that can easily go on for a number of years and there will probably be money available if he needs it. He's already stated he wants to do his whole 4 year contract at Real.

I didn't mean United Kompany. I meant City who will break the bank to get Mourinho. He loves the EPL and it loves him. At city he would have the money to directly attack the pre eminence of the most recognisable sportsbrand in the world across town.....such a challenge would appeal to him.

City would be a great challenge but if he goes, he can say goodbye to coaching United for a while and I think that's what he wants (pretty sure he's mentioned in interviews he wants to take over from Ferguson eventually). Mourinho doesn't bs around, everyone knows he wants to have another go in England, but only this month (or last) he's said he wants to stay at Real until the end of his contract.

Seriously, what coach would leave a club with Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka (probably over it but I'm sure they'll replace him if necessary), Higuain, Xabi Alonso and all + up and coming world class talent in Ozil, Khedira, Benzema, Di Maria and Canales? Not a challenge? He hasn't won la liga yet and he'll love being CL favourites for the next few seasons. If he wins the CL this season, then next season will be an even bigger challenge. He wouldn't have quit Chelsea either had they won a CL with him.

1. He quit Chelsea because of Roman
2. don't care what anyone says - if the United job wasn't available and possibly even if it was, I think the Liverpool job would appeal to his ego more. the challenge of being the first manager in **** knows how long to do it for them could prove too tempting.
3. don't see him leaving yet - primarily because he wants to win the la liga title before moving on - so he can say I've won here, here, here etc. etc. not having won would mean leaving a country without something he has always won. if he won the spanish league next season (and whatever else he wins this season and next) I think he'd be very tempted to leave. until then.... don't see it happening.

I'll look forward to seeing Madrid doing the opposite and just getting on with the game.

Football how it should be played.

Hard, but fair.

Honestly - in Mourinho v Barca games - how many of his players have they got sent off and incredibly, most of the time the dude still ****ing previals! Bloody incredible really.

1. Drogba for something ridiculous
2. Del Horno, slightly high, awkward tackle but nothing more. Hard yellow.
3. Lucio last season - actually, I think it was one of their other players?
and what has there been 2 while he's been at Madrid?

what 5 or 6, already? in just a small amount of games.

How to beat a Mourinho side? Just get them down to 10. That should make it easier.

Honestly, some football sides believe in the fair play principles which make football a viewing spectacle. While others, and I won't name them to be controversial prefer to do everything but. Anything unsportsmanlike you can name? All for what? Class is a big thing in football and when you decide to stop carrying it.... well it definitely minimises everything you achieve in the eyes of the neutral public. That's their choice but it's a poor one imo.

The Motta (not Lucio) one was well harsh - peekaboo! - but the Del Horno one wasn't.

The two in clasicos this year weren't that relevant, think they were 4-0 down already when Ramos got sent off in the Nou Camp, and Di Maria's in the cup final was in the 121st minute.

Yes Barcelona pressure referees. So do Madrid though.

This is a battle without good guys.

it was more clumsy than anything.

he wasn't very good and evidently tackling was his most prominent weakness.
he can't help it. ;)

and without good guys?
madrid would be ok if not for ronaldo. well maybe not but they have mourinho.
ohh wind up with one of those shit free kicks of yours cristiano - 1/100 is on target but take every one and waste them mate. go on you selfish twat.

come on bb. compared to barca. everyone is likeable.

For some reason I thought the first game was in Barcelona. Looks to be a very tight match, hopefully opens up a bit in the second half with some tired legs. Still give the edge to Barca.
