The Ryder dislike from our supporters can carry on for a while to come. He was a huge part of our side, a really valuable player in his prime and he ended up wanting/needing out of his own actions while holding us over a barrel in the meantime.
Melksham I don't think anyone has any issues with. He got an offer too good to refuse, and still was 50/50 because he said he loved the place. Good luck to him.

Carlisle is somewhere in between. Pretty easy to be unhappy with how he conducted himself particularly in the back half of last season. But overall, his reasons for going were acceptable, and his potential willingness to go to Hawthorn was appreciated and helped us.

I won't be booing Carlisle or Melksham. They decided they need a new environment as we had seriously fkd ours up. Anyone who booes them is an fwit.
Booooo!!!

Seriously though, booing is pretty damn immature. I'd rather just internalize the seething anger I have for Paddy's departure than bother with booing. Every Port loss is a small glimmer of joy for me. As for the Jake's, good luck to them both.

Any animosity I had towards Paddy Ryder has died down to pretty much nothing. He was awkward, he messed the club around, he gave interviews he probably shouldn't have, and yeah we effectively got Langford and Cooney for him but right now he's sitting out for a year with the rest of them, he went through the same hell as the rest of them and that's our club's fault. The fact that he and his partner got so spooked by what the ASADA investigators told him, particularly about genetic issues while he was having a kid, tells you that he went through some serious shit in his head. It's very easy for us to say how he should have interpreted the investigators from our positions back here, but remembering what it was like waiting and worrying for my first kid, I'd be jumping at shadows too. Time to give the guy a break I say.

Plus booing's gross
