His live double album 'David Live' is one of my favourites
Called it his "Alive and well in theory" album.

All the Young Dudes is magic.

He produced Ian Hunter, practically owns Transformer...............gawd, there's just so much.

Here he is only a couple of years ago.

My first Bowie experience.

I used to watch this movie at least once a month. As I got older I found more and more Bowie to enjoy, until his music became part of the soundtrack of my life. I honestly am in shock.
The Nick Roeg film " The Man Who Fell to Earth" movie from '76 odd is just brilliant.

Essentially El Zig plays himself, but it has one of those great movie endings.

Thanks Stig. When I hear Doo Wop I think of Frank Zappa. If you couldn't play Doo Wop you couldn't be in his band. I think David Bowie aced the rehearsal.
Apparently the brilliant jazz piano in the single 'Aladdin Sane' is a one take.

It's a wonderful album, easily among his best.

Oh boy so sad am thinking of the huge poster of Aladin Sane I had on my bedroom wall

Diamond Dogs was another favourite 1984 just love that song was great on the live album

And he was such a visionary, genius
That intro.............

Have the original album, before the cover was banned and the penis airbrushed out.

In the day he did tons of covers, Lou, the Velvets ( White Light/White Heat, (I'm) Waiting for the Man, The Superman)..........and this was a staple.

A mate of mine referred to it as 'Golden Greyhounds'. He was serious too.

I love Bowie taking the piss out of Jagger and the Stones with 'Rebel, Rebel'.

Can't stop crying, I've never been so upset over a celebrity death before but this is like something else.
I hear you. Haven't been this upset over a celebrity loss in years......many years.
You don't know how you'll feel at a loss but this one hit hard.........no specific reason why, but it just did.

My favourite track amongst so many quality tracks but ironically 'Low' was his high. Thank you Mr Jones.

Same. I guess I figured Bowie would just live forever, or else why am I this upset?
It's odd isn't it? Had the most beautiful of days and yet this has just swamped all the good.

Guess I'll get 'over it' but can't help welling up like a baby right now.............shame on me.

There's no shame in it, I'm exactly the same.

He was just such a revolutionary, one of those musical geniuses who never stopped creating and growing. He constantly pushed people to challenge their own perceptions....he made being a bit of an oddity into a good thing...his influence on everything from music to performance art to sexuality, it's gotta be close to unmatched.

Achieved a life's work by 30...the last forty years were just cream. Loved the daring collaborations...and the Let's Dance album for his work with SRV.

More concerned about numbers to be honest #getnumbersaroundnumbers
