Why can't we have commentators of this quality in the AFL

As much as they love a bit of drama and the sounds of their own voice,american major sport commentators are ruthless. They look at sport from the viewers stand point and are extenely judgemental (honest) in their views of players.

I remember on one espn show the panel was debating whether blake griffen is black after his dunking exploits,Because he has ine african american parent and one white. Panelists were arguing the old white man cant jump and some were saying. Pretty good stuff. I remember watching it and thinking "what would the reaction be if this conversation was on national tv in australia"

We have Wayne Carey - he beats women, Steven A Smith condones it.

He is a shill of the highest order and is not of any quality
