Maybe we could meet up but see separate movies :p

You couldnt ruin a pearler day like this sitting in a dark theatre.
Get your derriere down to the Rocks Shell and just look at the harbour

Well I'm not there today mate :p

Be there in Jan. Probably silly arguing over movies too. Nah I can do both! I love going to different cinemas in different places. :$:D

Oh man how bad is the traffic on weekends... took 2 hours for what is usually a 30 min trip.

It's the same down here.

I will never go to Geelong for a Friday night game again ever. No break downs, no accidents (checked before I left at 4pm). A usual one hour trip took me 2 hours 15 mins. Was about to have a meltdown, never again.

TOP 3 OCEAN/HARBOUR POOLS:

1. MacCallum Pool in Cremorne (amazing views across the harbour to the city/opera house/harbour bridge)
2. Icebergs in Bondi (iconic and for good reason)
3. Mahon Pool in Maroubra (especially when there is a big swell - it's crazy in there!)

TOP 3 PICNIC SPOTS:

1. Clontarf Beach (the most perfect spot for beach cricket too)
2. Centennial Park (feed the ducks/swans and plenty of space to kick a footy or throw a frisbee)
3. Wattamolla in the Royal National Park (and do the cliff jump after you've eaten!)

TOP 3 PUB MEALS:

1. Henson Park Hotel in Marrickville (the burgers are great, but the hidden gem is the Nasi Goreng)
2. Shakespeare's Hotel in Surry Hills (classic pub fare and the best chicken parma around)
3. Newport Hotel in Newport (simply amazing pizza)

TOP 3 BIKE RIDES:

1. Centennial Park
2. Cooks River Cycleway
3. Prospect Reservoir & Orphan Creek

TOP 3 CINEMA EXPERIENCES (for Shell ):

1. Govindas in Darlinghurst (protip: get the vegetarian buffet BEFORE the movie so you can make best use of the lay-out lounges and cushions)
2. Greater Union in Blacktown (aka the only drive-in left in Sydney)
3. Golden Age Cinema in Surry Hills (also a great bar and performance space)

THOR 3 is out !!!!!

Epic weather here today
Same again this morning.

Going to be 35 in the city today. Bit too early for weather that warm but still, great to see no clouds in the sky on a Monday morning!

And then a massive drop off in temp tomorrow. Was a fantastic walk this morning. Sadly it was to go to the train station to go to work.

Waste of a brilliant Spring morning.

OG forecast was 34 out west....i'd be expecting it to be higher than 34 now if it's 35 in the city.

Was gonna go and get green slip done but **** that now.

First day back at work today after a month off. I think a quick exit after lunch and heading to the beach might be in order!

Yeah. Cold weather coming.

I am thinking of using long service leave over Christmas. Need to think about what to do.

There are a few interesting places I should take my son so his brain doesnt rot entirely over the holidays. Powerhouse and Maritime are fun. And we always enjoy the Reptile Park.

Powerhouse is getting moved to Parramatta so they can knock it down and build apartments.
Not sure if they've closed yet.

So over all the building works in the CBD at the moment. Can't wait for the tram to be completed, it's such a loud, annoying pain in the ass on George Street. It's literally right under our office building. Can't escape the noise of it.

Same here. But it wont be done until about a week before the next election. And that is only if they are lucky.

Years over time, billions over budget. AKA: Government doing things.

I live in the mountains between Bilpin and Richmond and that was a bloody intense storm up our way.
Yeah just going on that pic the storm seemed to get worse to the north.

The early heat comes at a price - had a 1 metre death adder on my front doorstep at 9pm last week, followed by a 3m red belly sunning himself on my back step 5 days later.......red belly I can handle, he's lived here forever and just strayed out of his area, quick hose down sorted him out. The death adder, different kettle of fish. Called a snake catcher to come out, healthiest specimen he's ever seen.

For those that say I should've dispatched this snake on sight, you clearly have never dealt with a death adder. He had a crack at me when I was trying to drop a wet beach towel on him - one of the fastest striking and most venomous in the world. Terrifying.

Did my work experience in what was the old sports merchandise mega store. Which if memory serves me correctly (it may not, it was nearly two decades ago) was beneath or next door to Govinda's. Great people. Gave me a load of half price merchandise and 50% off a west coast guernsey. The store is gone now - not sure if they moved online or got over run by online competitors.

I used to work sports retail- was awesome that discount we got. Not to mention sending back runners to get replacement pairs for free.

Q. how you WC if you live in Sydney- were you originally from WA.

Because they were the best team when I was young and I was a massive front runner in those days. Essentially had Geelong won the 1992 GF I'd be going for them.

The Swans were dire in those days. No way I was going to pick them as my team.

You are the perfect Swans fan.
