I don't think you can confidently say it's been repaired just yet.
None of the talls we're getting are proven performers. They're just all young players that have shown a bit but remain players with potential.
I'm still worried that Johnno will ever return to near his best. Will he play a couple of games and then breakdown ?
Can we play more than 2 of A pearce, Hamling, Collins, Silvagni and Dawson.
Neither of these players have brilliant skills, do you need to surround them with good skills.
I can't see Silvagni staying or Dawson getting extended and we need a good 3rd tall.

Early as it is, I would predict our best six down back looks like:
Hamling, Dawson, Pearce
HillBy, Johno, HillSy
This makes Silvagni, Collins and Ibbo as essential backup players. Although I would happily trade Silvagni if someone wants him as we have Ubergang developing nicely.
Thoughts?

Welcome back, 9 years is a helluva long time between drinks. I don't think we'll be playing 4 talls down there though and I'd expect Ibbo to play all games.Early as it is, I would predict our best six down back looks like:

I wonder how tabs would go on a wing where he can use that big tank. Maybe his decision making isn't good enough, but it got better last year.
If he played ahead of Clarke he might be able to have a Blicavs type impact around the ground. Tabs was actually pretty good when he was 1v1 last year, its when he is held out 2v1 he struggles to get it to ground imo.
Then let apeness play up forward where his pack crashing will help our small forwards. I think he will improve quickly after a full pre-season if he stays fit and healthy.
I with you here. Massive season for Apeness. We've really got to back him in now, play him 22 rounds and get him to that 50-60 games as quick as we can. Alex Pearce is the other one. Has the potential to be an AA, but has to stay on the park. Just so important to the rebuild these two turn in to A graders.Iv never wanted a bloke to make it as much as Apeness. He just seems perfect for that Forward/Ruck role. A 200cm bloke who only played one year of football before being drafted, and then has injury problems is always going to take longer to develop. Fingers crossed he gets a full preseason!
