R: Hille.....................Lovett..............Stanton

I think one of Slats or pev will start on the ground, probably tagging goodwin, Mcveigh tagging mcleod, and watson and edwards may go head to head early. Burton is a problem, McPhee will probably get first go, if he plays permanent forward then Fletch can go to him.

the 18 named on the ground don't have to start ant. all it means is that they are in the squad of 22.

i'd be surprised if cj wasn't picked. he was very impressive against the eagles.

kepler, bolts and dyson to miss for my liking. i reckon ricky is very stiff to miss out

Agreed... I know if it were up to me choosing the side, I'd pick Johns... he is difficult to man up on and could create problems as the third tall. I'd also play NLM; he could match up well on someone like McLeod, and perhaps use McVeigh as a tag on Goodwin. I'd drop Bradley/Bolton. Going by what I've been hearing though, Bradley will likely get the nod as he's arguably more versatile then Johns (IMHO less damaging though).

It depends on how top-heavy the team is. While on paper the forward line would look pretty damn impressive with Lloyd, Lucas and Johns in it, the extra midfielder such as Dyson could prove to be the match winner as their midfield talent outweighs ours. Does anyone know the forecast for Adelaide on sunday?

Also, with Johns training with the majority of the twos today. I think that's just a trick he's playing on the spies.

Ricky better play or i will be p!ssed off big time the guys wasted talent if he's not playing.

Brad Johnson must of been impressed with our performance at skilled stadium in the pre season to pick us to beat Adelaide last night on the footy show.

Also get on lovett for a blinder he's going to rip a few sides apart this year.

I think you will find that the squads have to start the 18 named on the ground on the ground unless one of them pulls out. Players named on the bench cant be moved onto the ground for kick off ;) They havnt named a squad , they have named the side with players from the bench to be omitted.

As for Johns not getting a game i think you will find it may be because of the match ups. Adelaide wont be going into the game all that tall. Johns is pretty much restricted to playing forward or bench. Bradley has been doing some ruckwork at training this week and he is more versitile as far as use goes. Can play forward, ruck, midfield rotation and back. I think they are looking at a more mobile side hence Jetta on the ground and Monfries and Watson on the bench for the midfield rotation.
I would be pretty confident that we take 26 over with Bolts and one of Dyson or NLM as emg but then again i have been wrong plenty of time before.

You could be right but to be honest there wasnt many watching today. Was petty much us die hards and a few kids. I guess if Johns lines up for Bendigo tommorow we will know :D

Is anyone apart from me starting to get p***ed off at not seeing jason laycock line up in the side? Havn't even got into the real stuff and he's already injured

Doesnt bother me. He's shown nothing that suggests he'll be in our first 22. For depth, perhaps at this stage.

Are you serious! You're going to drop the clubs leading goalkicker from last year?
And Kelvin, come on sunshine, why give the opposition any extra advantage? You're right, we have been waiting six months, surely you can wait 3 more days to see where they line up.

Settle down...I think he meant to have Lucas instead of 2 Ryders.
