They remind me of all them hoytee-toyte women who sit in them salons, having their nails manicured at $50 a pop.....Too much time on their hands & nothing better to do with their money.

I find tennis crowds pretty inoffensive. Polite, polo shirt and cap wearing. The slow into fast clap during challenges are well.....interesting.

Or when players hand the racquet to ball boys, the crowd erupts in raucous laughter

Proper tennis crowds are like golf crowds. You are there to appreciate the skill of the players rather than enjoy and be part of the atmosphere.

If you are that self important that you can't shut up when players are serving etc. then stay home.

Happens in a lot of places.

More common overseas for fans to jeer players to put them off etc. rather than here where we just have dickheads yelling out.

The French crowds have a bit of a reputation.

Tennis crowds tend to be, civilised compared to cricket or footy crowds, but there's always that one hero that wants their moment in the sun by yelling 'COME ON AUSSIE' or 'YEAH WOO GO ROGER' at the most inappropriate time possible, and the chair umpire having the pleasure of politely telling them to shut up. It tends to play out like this:

The biggest problem with Tennis crowds is they laugh over literally nothing. You could say anything in the on court interview after the game and they'd laugh at you.
