He is a ruckman so usually you give them till 24 and they peak after that. Look he is a special talent, needs refining and a lot of development but I have no doubt it will come. The kid was raw. His game last week was special. Unstoppable.

Needs to do it on the G, against the best. Jolly ate him tonight.

I understand, but I was just replying to your comment that is 20.

Nicnat is the most overrated footballer in the comp. Don't me wrong. Kid can play and has unlimted potential, but is constantly overrated by the media to the point where it is sickening now.
Ive said that since debut, where some wackers claim it was the best debut theyd ever seen....if he could take more than 2 or. 3 marks a game he d be alot better for that

Tonight was further proof that the decision review is an absolute farce. The right call was made in the end but who called for it to be reviewed? It had to be someone from upstairs surely, they were about to restart the game from the middle.

It absolutely infuriates me that the AFL implement new rules after a 4 week trial in the NAB cup when clearly it clearly needs to be more refined and clear cut. When was the last time a season had no rule changes from the previous year?
I agree, the review system is a joke, it's been poor in cricket due to different countries using different versions and I'm not sold it will ever work.

Matthew Knights is a fantastic development coach and in honesty coach. About to take Geelong's VFL team to a Grand Final.
Hope he is the coach Dimma said we will be signing. Would love him in the coaches box with Dimma and Chocco, and give Cambo his own team next year for his own development, then reassess in 2014.

Just further to my comments about Collingwood and the begrudging respect I have for the club, I in no way associate the respect to that complete braindead cretin Joffa or their president.

To late with your apology, any Tiger worth his salt simply has no respect for that club. End of story.

I'm not apologising.

Went to the game tonight. Terrific match, lot's of pressure which forced a lot of errors.

Thought the Pies deserved their win. Tackling in the second half and their want to take the game on was better than the Eagles. Thought Ben Reid and Pendlebury were best on ground, Beams special particularly early, but my word is Daniel Kerr a warrior. Just have to respect him. Actually thought both backlines held up well. McKenzie was brilliant on Cloke, Glass was his always great self, the other end, Ben Reid as I said was BOG with Nathan Brown holding his own.

Three players I want to have a go at for WCE.

Andrew Embley. I think this bloke has sh!t for brains. Honestly some of the dumbest things I have seen straight out of the Daniel Jackson notebook. My word, when the heat is put on this bloke, he becomes a mental midget.

Luke Shuey, is he the most overrated player going around. Wanted to see him up close and set the game alight. Or even at least contribute. He just didn't fire a shot, tumbled throughout the whole game and did not do anything. The Eagles played a man down.

Nic Nat. The kid is twenty and going to be a dead set freak. But he hates the MCG. He becomes useless on it. How a guy can go from dominating and jumping and running around like the best athlete in the world one week, to looking like an average player the next on the home of football is amazing. He is a Subi specialist. Mentally they need to work on him. As I said, very young and has time, just a trait I see developing.

In the end, Collingwood deserved winners, if West Coast don't have a nightmare injury season next year, they will go close to winning the whole thing.
What about Gaff? Sheesh, I was really expecting him to go missing this final series. But my word, his disposal Sat night was better than anyone on the ground. And he actually got a fair bit of it as well I reckon. Just went up a few notches in my books.

Gotta disagree Dea. He definitely knows how to find the footy and had plenty of it, but when the pressure was on him a few times his disposal by foot was very ordinary. Will definitely learn from it though and be all the better for it.

Dislike

He was da man!

He is used to his strength, like a basketballer on a fast break which is go out wide and run down the boundry line when we get the ball to you. Both Gaff and Shuey struggle a bit against the better sides when they are not allowed to get out in space.

That's what I was expecting, until Sat night. He still got it a lot in space, and his kicking, especially going inside 50, was sublime. Granted he tired in the second half, and may have dropped back a cog, but he is only 20. Definitely impressed me, and I had doubts about him coming into September.

Was thinking recently what would Jack Dyer say about the current tigers...

reckon he would absolutely love Morris, Maric (despite struggling with his name), Cotchin Rance Tucky etc

Then I remembered some of Jack Dyer's best work...

"I won't say anything in case I say something."

"Bartlett's older than he's ever been before." (1980).

"Johnston missed one from the 10 yard square - it was impossible to miss that." (1981).

"The only way to tackle Justin Madden. I don't know." (1981).

"Henshaw passes the ball to Kelly and Kelly gives a Henshaw to Glendinning." (1982).

"That's the beauty of being small - your hands are close to your feet." (1982).

"There weren't too many best mans on the ground." (1982).

"He's tuckled strongly by Tack." (1983).

"He sets himself for a high mark - actually, that was a low high mark." (1983).

"He's put the game beyond result." (1983).

"Bamblett made a great debut last week, and an even better one today." (1983).

"The ball goes to Marceesie ... Marcheson ... McKann, er ..." before co commentator Ian Major interjected: "Actually, Jack I don't think Marchesani was in that passage of play." (1981).

Dyer once observed a player was "carrying a bit of a knee" and noted that "They've got a couple of good players in Harvey".

And then there was "a rather difficult goal kicked very easily".

"Diamond Creek was a long way away once."

"Mark Lee's long arms reaching up like giant testicles."

"Flanagan's trying to use some pace that he hasn't got."

"They should have kicked 12 goals in that third quarter because they were right on top and hardly doing a thing right."

"The goal posts are moving so fast I can't keep up with the play."

And once, on the long-running Sunday television show World Of Sport, Dyer declared that Fitzroy had "copulated to the opposition".

has any one noticed O'bryan right of screen giving an Adelaide player a awkward postion ?

Anyone else getting tired of Collingwood's saturation media ATM?

Front and back page of the sun every day this week and most of last too. Did they buy the paper or something?
