The difference is that I don't agree with this statement. Tippett is good but has not reached those heights yet. And the concussion thing is a worry.

I rate Caddy.
The question is whether Caddy is going to be better than what we may hope to get with our pick 11, only the recruiting experts could make that call, Blues need a durable tall target up forward to seriously to challenge deep into September.
Lynch is very short term, Tippett would be worth certainly considering as he is not only a goalkicker but can ruck also.

Called this a few weeks ago. Mick and Sticks are currently on the phone to Tippett, convincing him that Carlton is actually a suburb of Brisbane. Crazy Vossy has been unable to find a Brisway to prove us wrong.

Thats why there was a wink added to the end of the sentence.........
Wasn't responding to you. I just don't see why Adelaide, a team five points from the grand final, would accept anything less than Gibbs for Tippett. A prospective draft pick and a prospective KP doesn't put them closer to a grand final. The only thing we have that Adelaide would be interested in that pushes them closer to a premiership is Gibbs. No thanks.

Just flick Tippett in the head, it'll probably give him a concussion and then he'll sign anything you put in front of him. Eaaaaaaaaaaasy.

Couldn't we employ one of the trainers to just point him in the right direction every time he takes a mark ?

Worked for Mike Pyke !

Bet Caro backtracks on this claim...

Suns & the gun: Crows may lose Tippett
It has emerged that Tippett kept his options open when he committed to the Crows on a massive three-year deal at the end of 2009, insisting upon a clause that would allow him to move to the club of his choice at the end of next season. Adelaide, which was desperately keen to retain the young star, is understood to have agreed to a deal where it would receive a second- and possible third-round draft pick for Tippett.

1) I would certainly argue with that
2) Do not be silly

Tippett is only a slight upgrade on Hampson
Absolutely ridiculous statement.

Problem with getting Tippett is the cost in terms of $ and in terms of what we need to trade. Not going to happen so we should all settle down about this rumour. Why would he abandon his plans to go home (if he had any) for the sake of 100k max? Not to mention the Crows will stop nothing short of wanting #11 and a good young player. His contract is up right? They'll still be bastards.

I can't see them doing anything outside the rules/laws, particularly as they have Mighty Mouth McChinns as their pres. But it is still very interesting how they can give Cloke a massive pay rise, sign beams (who, you'd think would have been given more $$) and now Lynch + all the others and still remiain under the cap. Some players must have taken some serious pay cuts to get all over the line.

They will HAVE to lose some decent players, surely.
Apparently losing Wellingscum should cover the lot really...

"Essendon considering a trade for Scott Gumbleton to Carlton in return for Garlett... picks may be involved stay tuned"
Ahhhhh, the old Jeff Garlett, David Ellard and our fourth round pick for Jobe Watson, Brent Stanton and Scott Gumbleton rumor has made its way to Essendon.

What do we want from Port Adelaide? Given David Koch has just been invited to be their President, it could be a good time to catch them when all good sense appears to have flown out the window.

Given we have to pay to put our new marketing opus on air, and this pelican can advertorialise for nix on his commercial channel, reckon Port have pulled off one the of the great coups.

Well this has been one of the more entertaining days of this thread. I think Basil Fawlty and Maxwell Smart must be behind some of the wheeling and dealing. Hope everything I read here turns out to be true.
