Bell is not going anywhere, I thought he showed a bit just needs to learn a few more things and his decision making and awarness need to improve. But in both finals he showed what a big body and stamina can do, not sure if he will leave.

For all his sillies - Fev contributed more to on field performance and results than a dozen of the fancy haircutted, PC nancy boys who are currently insulting supporters of the Club with their woeful on field performances on weekly basis.

carry on with putting the boot in though everyone , you are on safe ground in here.

He did in between his dummy spits.

Who was to know which Fev turned up to play each week. The good Fev or the dummy spits Fev!!

There is no I in team and with Fev, it was all about Fev JAB.

I am surprised we didn't trade him years earlier but glad we didn't. Hello Lachie!!

Who are the sillies you are referring to?

But he was a knob, a distraction and we traded him out for an absolute gem.

It'll dawn upon you!
That is spot on the money, those that want to go or want to be paid overs their worth should be shown the door. Clubs who have over paid uncommitted players on their list tend not to do well.

Bell is barely a B grade midfielder and Robinson is a B grade midfielder. If there is a good offer and they don't want to stay then they can go. Bell is a midfielder who is atrocious below his knees, lacks awareness, is a poor kick, poor agility, slow and very slow off the mark and is not good over head. Robinson is an ordinary kick of the footy and doesn't have the cleanest hands. It is extremely rare for either to have a 30 possession game. TBH I don't see either player getting a lot better if at all. Robinson brings value to the team, bell fills a spot in a team which is desperate. If they think they are hard done by and want to look around they need to have a good hard look at themselves.

Our list hasn't got the ability to finish top 8 let alone top 4 and if all these blokes are looking around and Betts is leaving for money, it doesn't have the attitude either.
... and was probably our 3rd or 4th best performer on Saturday night in not much more than a half of footy! Huge upside for a bloke still learning the game. Was also a real contributor in the Elimination Final and the match against Port to get us there. All this for a bloke who's played a mere handful of games. Give it a rest will ya!

He also massively contributed to our rubbish culture which is why although we have had improved success since he left, we are still not where we need to be.

He was a mad genius and he brought many years of excitement and brought fans through the turnstiles in some of the darkest days in our history. At the end of it all, we had to let him go I agree, and thoughts of a return are unrealistic and fanciful.

I think there is room to give credit and to add a touch of reality as to where he is at. We did the right thing, but he's always going to be a goalkicking superstar in the annals of Carlton history.

I just have to say he could've easily been the best ff in the comp but never grew up.

If you want a harder tougher team it was a requirement to weed out the people that wouldn't help build such a culture and unfortunately Fev was one of those.

Non issue now anyway, I wish we could have kept him but he has himself to blame for that one

I lost all respect for him the day he labelled our supporter base "feral"!

Yeah I agree about Bell, I too would be very disappointed if he went that way, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised either, is all I'm saying.

On that note though, let's not eat Bell and Robbo already like the Tiggers are doing to Martin guys ;) There's a lotta rumours and whispers of these sorts of things, probably usually just pushed by the players' managers to squeeze more coin.

I'd hold off on getting too nasty before we know anything for sure.

I prefer to separate his playing time with us from the dumb things he said and did. I'm annoyed about his book and using the tanking debate to promote it.

FWIW, in the first Carlton v Brisbane game at the Gabba since he left, he was against the fence while a Lions player was having a shot and a Carlton supporter in the front row asked him about whether he thinks we are feral and he said 'nah, I love yas'. I think he was just pathetically pandering to a new supporter group when he said that.

Well if Eddie does leave, I guess that frees up some unexpected cap space. You'd think the club weren't expecting Eddie to leave a couple of months ago.

Maybe so but he should not have said it. ;)

Agreed. I wanted to burn him at the stake at the time. His retraction in front of the fans alleviated it a touch. He's an idiot but for a long time, he was our idiot and we cheered for him.
