Hey I was wondering whether there was any credence to the rumour I was just told- Carlton are looking closely at both Levi Greenwood (contracted) and Xavier Ellis (free agent). Heard from somebody in footy but he stressed it was not first hand and didn't know the degree of interest. Anybody heard similar? I want Ellis to remain at HFC, but seems unlikely I think.

What do you think Ellis can offer Hawthorn ??

Would he be in the best 22 ??

I haven't heard anything about Carlton being interested but nothing would surprise.

Ill back Mick 100% on whatever he does, watch this old man turn Carlton from a laughing stock to a powerhouse. #standbymick
I'll go along with this as well, at least for the next couple of years anyway.

This list has achieved nothing of note and has no respect either from within the league or the broader footballing community.

If it was actually allowed,I could see more players leaving this off season than staying so I'm more than happy to see wholesale changes.

Well I seem to get shouted down in the Hawks forum on this but the facts are that Clarko plays him whenever he is fit. He has chosen him ahead of half a dozen of the guys running around in the seniors at the moment. He is talented and it is injuries that are costing him. As I said I would like him to remain a hawk but perhaps a change of scenary, a new gym, coaches etc would see him tranformed.

And C4[2]Yo`DooR as for the tagger thing I agree it seems unusual, but at the same time there is nothing to suggest Mick won't change his role. He has amassed 38 and 39 disposals in two of the few games of his career where he hasn't been given a man to mark.

For all his sillies - Fev contributed more to on field performance and results than a dozen of the fancy haircutted, PC nancy boys who are currently insulting supporters of the Club with their woeful on field performances on weekly basis.

carry on with putting the boot in though everyone , you are on safe ground in here.
Have to disagree JaB.

Fev was part of the problem. Getting rid of him was a good thing and under achieving since then has nothing to do with him going.

Our biggest down fall has been the type of players we have recruited and/or the character of those players followed closely by the development of those players.

Ellis could take Rhys O'Keeffe's spot in the medical room.

:(
I look back to Mick picking up Leigh Brown, he was heavily criticised and mocked... but it turned out to be a perfect fit. I'll trust his judgement.
Brown addressed their need for a second ruck/swingman.

Didak doesn't address any of our needs.

would be keen on Ellis. The talent is obvious. Seems it's his body that's let him down. Perhaps a change of scenery could help?

Plus we'd have 1,2,3 from that draft!
As long as he came cheap and passed a medical i'd be interested as well.
We need to get players into the team that are good decision makers and kicks of the footy.
