If the Pies can get an uncontracted Adams for a 28 year old, then the Giants might take what they can get for Jaksch. Believe they will need to reduce their list. They don't really need more KPF or even talls, but they will more than likely pick another quality KPP before Carlton. Too many talls as I posted a while ago.

Giants might value our first pick to get Brayshaw, Weller or Pickett. Pursued Kelly last year by dumping Tyson and a pick to ultimately end up with Kelly and McCarthy.

I'm not fussed if we trade our first pick. It's worth trading if you can get a KPP like Henderson and Kennedy who had two years development. Port did this with their trade for Polec and for Impey. Can potentially add another KPP or a quality ball user with pick 20.

All depends if this draft has better talls than the 2012 draft.
Jaksch has done nothing in a year and a half to suggest he was worth the pick 13 GWS gave for him (few talls do in there first 2 years). While I am also happy to trade pick 6 (or whatever it is) I would want a better deal as he is not worth a 14 place pick upgrade.

I think GWS was happy to let Adams go because they saw week to week Adams shortcomings. Pies are seeing them now and he struggles to get a game ahead of Thomas, Blair, Dwyer. Not the best 22 player they expected.

Good kid and puts in as much as anyone.

Just think his physical attributes may hold him back. He's not particularly clean either.
If we didn't care for Lambert, I'm not sure what Cattapan can offer to us.
"better than Judd" - Ted Hopkins

Really though, he's very small and from the two times I've watched him play his disposal was a little off.
His disposal lets him down badly, but you certainly can't knock his desire. Doesn't mind getting in & under the packs & he does hit the scoreboard. Realistically though, I would be surprised if we were looking to recruit him, even as a rookie.

Hopefully you aren't the real Andy McKay
Nothing wrong with that suggestion if for nothing else than playing the numbers game.

An early pick would be nice but a solid pick and a good young player would certainly be tempting.

Many people laughed at Melbourne for trading in essence Kelly for Tyson and Salem.......not so funny now, is it?

If we can pull off a similar trade we'll be laughing.

LoGuidice has a lot of work ahead of him but his first order of business should be to stop these leaks coming from board level.

Who does it help that these "senior club figures" continue to give pieces of confidential information to the media?

Carlton will not move forward without a unified board and as much as people may say we're on the right track, the unfortunate reality is that is not the case and won't be until the mess is cleared at the top.

We've had two pieces of classified information leaked to the media over the past week and we seem to be the only club who experiences that.

That's unprofessional on so many levels and whoever is responsible should be kicked out the front door. It's unfortunate that those likely responsible for leaking the information are those who paid for that door.

We won't truly be a relevant and fully functional club until this mess is cleaned up once and for all and that starts with cutting off all ties to those who are in it for self gratification. Get rid of Pratt, and get rid of Mathieson in particular.

On the topic of Silvagni returning to the club, I'd be happy to see it. The club should always be open and receptive for past greats to reunite with the club regardless of the circumstances surrounding their departure. However, to proclaim SOS as the best at what he does or the saviour is just absurd and incredibly short sighted. He may well be good at what he does but the reality is you could give any BF phantom drafter the picks SOS has had access to and they'd do a good job also.

Can't say I'm against this.

He'd definitely know which GWS kids to target.
Jack becomes eligible to join the club at the end of next year. The article suggests that he is reluctant about being involved with the club if one or more of his boys are on the list. I think that he remembers back to the days when he was just starting out and his dad was still involved with the club.

Agreed.

Although, with Barrett, Ralph and Hutchy, senior figures may include any Big Footy poster with more then 2,000 posts to their name.

I'm here to confirm this rumour.
Rumour is that spudchamber (and his alter-ego Scarface Pacino) believe that Jack isnt going to turn out because he isnt playing against 17-18 year olds in the TAC cup this year... even though he is only 16 and isnt due to join the TAC cup squad until next year.

Spuddie also reckons that Bailey and Jake won't amount to much either because neither of them are regulars in their respective TAC squads yet...

Jaksch is a 19 year old KPP in his second season. We should compare him to Henderson, Kennedy and Talia who weren't best 22 at that age and stage in their careers. Won't be the last player who struggles against Daniher.

Happy to low ball them if we can pull it off.

Especially because ideally he is a forward first. But GWS have too many - hence he is being groomed to be a defender.

I reckon that if we approach him and say that we would be playing him as a lead up FF, we might be able to convince him to leave and head to Princes Park.
