Considering that he had 2 knee injuries in the first couple of years after he started with us, he is about 2 years behind in terms of development. I hope that he continues to improve over the remainder of the year. It would do him a world of good to have a full season under his belt.

Why does everyone want to give away one of the few guys who bleeds for the jumper... and I dont just mean literally. You always know that when Kreuzer walks out for us, he will give 100% and leave nothing out there.

I think that with the new Gibbs and Kreuzer out there, and with the other guys coming in how bleed blue for us, we will be a lot better off.

However... if we were to trade Kreuzer for a GWS tall... it would have to be for someone exceptional.
It would be a hard call on Kreuzer Dram but if we could get a key forward the calibre of Patton for a Ruck who cant really impact up forward and a history of injury then I think the club would have to seriously consider it.

No one is wanting to give him away for nothing.

So... we are giving up a ruck with injury issues for a tall forward who has already had 2 knee reco's? If we go for Patton that is... and who is to say that as soon as he arrives at the club, he doesnt do his knee again (remember Warnock came to us with issues and spent the first year being rebuilt).

Personally, I would prefer to trade out Warnock for a first or high second round pick and use that and a player or our first round pick to get a GWS tall.

Knockers doesnt really offer us anything around the ground while Kreuzer, if we manage him properly, is a ruck/midfielder rather than just a ruckman. Casboult has already proven that he can handle the second ruck duties. So... I would prefer the club kept Kreuzer and moved on Knockers. Knockers in a team with a better midfield than ours would be a superstar.

Couldn't see anyone giving up a first rounder or high second rounder for Warnock.

I would prefer to keep Kreuzer also but the fact is it is far easier to find a serviceable ruckman these days then talented KPF's.

The days of clubs using or giving up first round draft picks for ruckman are just about gone I reckon.

Gws would ideally be after mature players that can help them win now.

Who do we have of value that won't hurt us too badly?

Walker? Maybe robbo?

Doubt we'd get any of the number 1 picks without having to give up a blue chip piece, so hopefully were after jakach (spelling) and using expendable pieces. Eg not our first pick this year or kreuzer etc

If Patton starts to show something I wouldn't be against trying to get him in. The sad thing with Kruze is if it's not a knee it's a foot, if it's not a foot it's a finger. I think this could be the last trade period where he has any value and with the injury wrap-sheet he has it may sadly be time to cut the losses.

Patton has already shown more this year than our forward line combined. Will only get better and better. If GWS are entertaining a deal for him, I'd be for it in a heartbeat. Having watched him live every second weekend, the kid can play.

This is the way I see it at the moment, Cameron is the most proven out of the three (Boyd, Patton and Cameron). The others, I think their future will have to come down to who GWS see as having the most upside because at some point one of them will probably have to go due to salary cap issues. I'd be rapt with either of the 3, though I personally couldn't see GWS be willing to let Cameron go (unless he wants out).

Offering Kreuzer on his own would not ever be good enough to get us someone exceptional. I'd imagine it'd take another player plus a pick.

I love Kreuzer and hate the idea of him playing for another club but if we're fair dinkum about becoming a top team then nobody can be untouchable. Kreuzer's output has been very underwhelming and while you can't replace his love for the club, if we can snag a high quality player by trading him then...sorry Matty.

I'd rather we not trade Kruezer... His 'trade value' would be well under what he is worth and I don't think people understand how important he is to the team. There are only few players in this team that can effectively influence the game. Kruezer is one of them. Once he gets fit. And yes. He will get fit. He didn't take the entire year of for nothing. He will go straight back into his no. 1 ruck position. Warnock just doesn't have the rare ability of a ruckman to impose himself in congestion and stoppages, or provide his own run and carry.. I mean how many times have we seen Kruezer do a 1-2? Plenty. He took this year of to get right for next year. Next year at Carlton.
