Guys, unfortunately it is with great regret that I feed this information your way, I have just had this confirmed to me from a very reliable source (through a Player's best mate), MR C JUDD will retire at seasons end. Players and team officials have already commenced life after Juddy... Very Very sad day, but a very serviceable Champion who will no doubt be remembered as the most recognized / captivating midfielder of his era and arguably of all time.
Wrong thread buddy, we don't take too kindly to rumours 'round here

Hope it isn't true but it wouldn't surprise me (or anyone) if it was. Will be seriously missed but I would rather see him retire than become a tagger (shudders at Robbo's idiocy)

I heard from another player that he hadn't decided however was leaning towards going around again... Maybe that's just the party line though

If Juddy does retire, will be a huge whole to fill. The club will really need to focus on drawing in a Big fish in the draft to keep the faith in the members to renew next year after a dismal membership tally this year.Patience would be starting to wear extremely thin I would imagine.

The one upside of when Judd leaves will be the large hole left in the bankroll. Add guys like Waite, Carrazzo & McLean who are getting closer to the end and we'll have a decent amount of financial flexibility going forward.
We should spend it on Steven May - he will be a star. I would be amazed if he left GC but still...

Judd has given everything he has to give to the club. Captain or not he is still the spiritual leader of our club.

I wish we could have given the great man one more premiership. He deserves one.

Our brightest light that helped guide us out of our darkest years.

Time for him to pass the torch onto someone else.

Don't worry - the auto-correct feature on most journalists word-processors will still trot out the old 'Carlton have no room to move on the salary cap' line.
