$265,000 according to Tim Lane on 3AW.
It's really not hard to work out.

The TPP is 9.63 million for 2014. Then let's say that the average usage of that TPP is 95% (You have to factor that in)
Take off about 300K to cover the rookies but then add about the same back for concessions and we have a $241,000 average for the teams not getting a leg up.
Include the teams getting the extra and it will rise a small percentage.

Heard this little rumour today:

Malthouse has told Kane Lucas he will never play for Carlton again. Told him that after the first Collingwood match in front of all other players. Lucas says players don't like Malthouse. Have no respect for him. Source is someone I know who is in the cheer squad.

I take what Lucas says with a grain of salt though. You usually always see people who are crap at their jobs think that their boss is a prick.
Very credible source!

Yep sounds legit!

Someone finally posts a rumour, and you bag out their source?
It may be true, it may not be. I cringe at certain rumours that cast aspersions on a player, especially when posters take it as gospel and start potting said player. Some rumours are definitely 'wait and see' propositions.

I guess you'd be looking for solid sources if you are to have a go at a player over it. These hearsay 'player hates coach', 'coach hates player' rumours are quite damaging and tend to stick.

At least he named his source. Ease up.
Questioning the source's information, not attacking the poster. Posters hear a lot of things from a lot of people and they are just the messenger. These rumours are open to discussion, as long as the messenger isn't shot.

My point was that mods get shitty when this board turns into a trade or draft thread (which is inevitable when talking about player movements), but when someone actually posts up a rumour (and states the source showing that it may be dubious) the mods have had a dig at them.

Pretty close to attacking the poster. The guy is good enough to name his source in the rumour file then gets bagged by a moderator for it, not good enough (especially by this board's recent good standards). She should've done it in a more constructive manner.

Far from it Sin and as ODN mentioned above, more to do with the source in this case being a member of the cheer squad.

Not shooting the messenger at all & no offence intended whatsoever towards Dominator_7 & apologies if it came across that way.

Dig at the source. No doubting the poster was told the rumour as stated. Could have been worded differently. 'Thanks for passing that on, but I'm sceptical the source would know that'.

Personally I don't see the point in testing players like that I find it immature. Sure you need tough love but that is ridiculous. It even happens at my nephew's 10 year old football team, he can't be bothered and has switched to basketball where the coach is more even keel and not a prick.

Plus why does Judd deserve another flag, he has two already. I could think of plenty more guys who deserve a flag like Simmo. Sorry not a Judd fangirl.

Fair enough, have a think about how it will come across in the future. Carry on, not worth the amount of posts it's created.
