Were up against Villa @ Villa park this weekend.
Hoping for a win but would ultimately settle for a draw.

Actually thought we deserved more from that game.

Understand why Joey was frustrated but he'll never be involved in decent calls if he carries on.

Love watching Enrique play though - win lose or draw.

Joey needs to shut up and focus on actually doing something. He's been rubbish for the last couple of months. If you don't want to be at the club just **** off.

Summer will be interesting, rest of the games this season not so. They're all pretty irrelevant as I'm quite confident we'll stay up without getting another point. Hopefully we get a couple of more wins, which is possible with our fixtures.

Should hope to get at least 5 or 6 points from Brom, Birmingham and Blackpool. But that's about it.

Very happy with Pardew, regardless of results - has managed to keep the same feel about the place as when Chris was in charge. Looking forward to next season depending on who we retain and invest in.

What's the gut feeling in regards to Jose? I think he'll go. Fingers crossed it isn't to Liverpool. After Andy scoring today I don't think I could handle seeing Jose there.

Jose is off. Doesn't really matter where to, whoever gives us the best deal I'd be happy enough with.

If he goes to Liverpool it's his choice, will be disappointing because he's always talked about playing Champions League football, which Liverpool aren't going to be in for the immediate future, but he is a footballer, which basically means that he's a **** where the only important thing/motivation is money.

Agree. Hopefully he stays though.

He might be more of a chance to stay now that it looks like we won't get relegated and we have some money to spend.

Carroll is dead to all the Newcastle fans in this thread.

I don't know why you guys have such a grudge against him. Caroll wasn't chasing an exit from St James' Park - Mike Ashley just couldn't resist the money on offer and in the end pushed Andy Carroll out. Not like the big man goes and bad mouths the club, he's only got praise for Newcastle. I'd hope that Andy Carroll would get a rousing reception when he returns to St James' Park.

Compare that with Torres' departure who forced Liverpool to sell him despite Liverpool not wanting to sell him and then going around justifying his transfer in the media by constantly mouthing off about his former club who had stood by him through many an injury.

:D

Spoken like a guy who only believes one part of the story.

Carroll wanted a new contract - he'd signed one only 2 months prior. The club said they'd negotiate at the seasons end, Carroll wasn't happy with that because he knew he could triple his money if he moved to Liverpool.

Club got a deal they couldn't really refuse, Carroll got a deal that was obviously good for him that he wanted to take. Both parties were happy, we move on.

Carroll said all of the same things that Torres did, and wasn't forced out either. Hence why Newcastle fans hold a grudge against him.

Hmm, unfortunately you have no idea on what transpired on the morning of Feb 1. To sum up a long story short Carroll wanted out and we got MUCH more than we should for him.

Would I've wanted him to stay, YES
With all the money we got for him,can we replace him, YES

I look forward to seeing how Ashley spends the riches we earnt in this sale as he has publicly stated he plans on using the cash for some new players in the summer.

Stolen from another forum, but Kevin Nolan had a phone-in on a local radio show:

No real gossip from the Nolan talk in, other than he really, really doesn't like Dowie. Quick summarY;

Worst trainer: Ranger - Nolan has offered to stay behind with him at training and work on finishing etc. Nile always says no.

Best trainer: Coloccini - Nolan adores him.

Shearer: Had too many preconceived ideas, biggest mistake was brining in Dowie.

Dowie: Was "just a crap manager" - did a funny as **** impression of him. None of the squad knew what Dowie was saying most of the time.

Leyton Orient meeting: Everybody knows about this now, was led by Nolan & Smith. Those who they wanted rid of, Smith/Nolan etc used their own agents to shift them out to speed things up.

Who Nolan would sign if he was manager: Connor Whickham & Matt Jarvis - expects there to be 4-6 new players in the summer.

5-1: Best day of his life (except his kids being born)

Allardyce: Still friends with him, feels big Sam was a little bit unlucky with the timing of coming up here (new owner, some people i nthe dressing room)

Pardew or Hughton: Pardew because he is better equipped to take us forward

Carroll: Nolan only did piece for Liverpool TV because it was a mate of his who works there.

The Chicken dance (the quack): His mate dances like that...acknowledged that chickens don't quack.

Newcastle: Loves the place to bits, in the middle of negotiating a new contract to stay here longer. Asked Gary Speed's advice before joining. Speed predicted our relegation at the time.

Rivals: Wants Blackpool, WBA and Wigan to go down. Blackpool & WBA to show well we've done and Wigan as obviously a rival from the Bolton days.

Liverpool: Would never sign for them as he loves it here too much. Doesn't consider himself a Liverpool fan anymore.

Barton: A lot of little jokes about Barton being the best midfielder in the world. "He's a nutter, but a good nutter."

Nout else of note really, probably forgot some stuff but I think that's the bulk of it.

Well, anything other than a loss will be nice and unexpected.

Tiote is back, which is quite handy. Harper misses (which isn't a bad thing)

Krul
Simpson - Coloccini - Williamson - Enrique
Barton - Tiote - Guthrie - Jonas
Ameobi (I think he's fit) - Lovenkrands.

It's not a bad team until you get to the strikers. Hoping for a draw, expecting a defeat.

I think you'll find we'll finish top 4 next season pal.
