So sick of this crap. Carver promised a team that wouldn't die wondering in the derby and one where the players would understand the significance of the derby. Seen absolutely nothing to suggest that is even remotely the case. Same as Pardew, all talk - no bite and can't get the players up for a derby. Player's don't give a toss. Why should they? The management and club don't care or demand any kind of performance unless it makes them money.

Apparently was playing golf yesterday was Carver...maybe he should have been thinking of a way to make us remotely competitive? He wants the job after all doesn't he?

This club is a joke. A sad, sick joke.

Honestly, I hope the people who buy season tickets take a long hard think about it before renewing again. Why pay hard earned money to watch this rubbish? Nothing will change until Ashley is held accountable. He must be laughing every time he gets nearly a full St James' Park.

Raylor is not up to it, Colback tries hard but is run of the mill, Gouff is useless and can't keep possession, Cabella is soft and has no end ball, Williamson is a daft sod, Perez will not develop at NUFC, he still needs some polish and Krul.... Well he should never wear the jersey again!

Bright spots? Jonas was very good and Janmaat was again a saving grace, the rest a pathetic.

And how about Carver you faaaark right off... It takes until 70 mins to remotely look like sending numbers forward! You're a pathetic joke.

Word is Mclaren is the man who will be offered the job, we could do a lot worst.

Hard to see Raylor getting a new deal isn't it? His age and susceptibility to injury won't help his chances either.

Colback did an adequate job I think playing as a LB - much better as a midfielder though. Would have been tough to play the game with all the jeering and heckling he got.

Gouffran...for feck's sack. Why does he get a game? Seriously. What does he even offer? Can't hold up the ball. Can't pass. Doesn't score goals anymore. Has pace...which we rarely see because he's usually going anonymous. Carver, fair dinkum - honestly can't see the value in playing him. I'd rather have had Abeid sitting in the middle trying to help Jonas out than a useless and ineffective wide player like Gouffran.

Cabella is struggling - needs direction and instructions. Our defence was reasonable (for a makeshift back 4) on the weekend but our midfield (outside of Jonas) and attack were non existent. Perez is not suited to playing as a lone striker (how many times was he isolated?) and his game and development will suffer as a consequence.

Williamson had one of his 'better' (doesn't say much though) games I thought - he had an important block to keep it at 1-0.

On Krul, I honestly think he doesn't care anymore. He gets his game but he's been far from his best IMO. With all the crap going on at the club, it wouldn't surprise me to see him move on in the summer to an ambitious team. We will then most likely see him take his game to another level.

Carver is an absolute moron. Talked a big game pre match about a NUFC team that would understand the derby and what it meant to the fans. He spoke about how if there is one thing his team wouldn't be criticised for come the final whistle it was work rate.

As you say Tige, it wasn't working more or less from the first whitsle. Carver even said in his post match comments that he 'would have done somersaults if we had got to half time at 0-0'. The fact it took so long for him to change it up and try and fix the obvious issues (a midfield that couldn't control the game and a striker being isolated up top) speaks volumes of his ability.

The club is rotten to its core. The club we all love is but a memory with this cheap imitation now in its place. :(

There is a glimmer of hope though. It seems the folks behind the 'sackPardew' initiative have launched the 'AshleyOut' campaign.

Honestly, this is the best and most exciting thing I've seen all season. Its about time the fans got organised and united to try and save the club. We needed a vocal and unified group to help build up awareness and put pressure on Mike Ashley and his regime. Remember the sackPardew campaign got national and international attention? Hopefully we can do the same and put some dark light onto Ashley and Sports Direct. The fans have put up with enough and are sick of the decay.

Hopefully this will get a lot of traction and help enact change in the near future because let's be honest, there is no joy supporting this club and there hasn't been for years.

I hate the current management/ownership regime more than I hate the Mackems, and that's not a good thing. Not sure how successful they're going to be getting Ashley out, but good on them for having a crack. Hit him where it hurts - Sports Direct, season tickets, attendances.....

I reckon you're right mate - can't see Ashley selling up shop when its making him stacks of money (that is the man's only motivation) Match day attendance would be a much smaller portion of our revenue compared to the TV money on offer.

That being said, something has to give and if the fans keep paying to watch the same rubbish, nothing will change. Rangers and Milan fans have boycotted home games this season to show their displeasure at how things are being run. If the campaign is half as successful as the SackPardew movement, then at the very least, there will be media coverage which could negatively impact Mike Ashley, Sports Direct and his shareholders. The club have tried to fight the media in the past (by banning journalists and publications from press conferences) but how can they fight this if it gets widespread attention?

At the very least, maybe it will make Ashley realise that the fans are fed up with the direction he's taking the club and make him realise that unless he changes how things are run, the fans won't show up for home games. Imagine the sight of our rubbish team playing in front of empty stands with SportsDirect banners (137 or so of them) everywhere. Will hardly look great. :)
