Thanks to the tireless efforts of Hate and Cloud_, day in day out, since the second the season ended, the league currently has full, up-to-date statistics on every player that ever played the game. Truly a great time to be alive.

So, I decided that the stars aligned to bring back maybe my favourite threads I ever made. Rather than explain the premise in paragraphs of waffle, the infants of the league can refer to these threads to understand what I'm on about.

Poster ranking threads run rife in this league; seemingly everyone has an opinion who the top 50 posters are. But how many know who the Top 50 PLAYERS are?

This massive production has combed through every S17 Qootyer in the league, inclusive of all players who have been at least slightly active this season; from the rarely seen loopy_cam to the everywhere types like akkaps. A mystical equation has been run through each and every one of these players, taking into account a vast range of factors which make a great Qootyer. EACH and EVERY Top 50 player has a short overview written of their inclusion into the elite, covering the hows and the whys. Readers can enjoy an in-depth and heavily worked countdown at their leisure, breezing through the elite players who remain in the league today and finally answering the age-old question of who is the sim's greatest player of today's league.

I'm hoping I can recreate this thread every season, with an updated formula and updated statistics to see who has fallen and risen in the stars of the Qooty machine. Despite all the work put into it, this is a first draft; there may be niggles with the formula to be ironed out; for one, games may have been valued a bit too highly. For this reason no-one who has played <50 games appears in the elite; they simply haven't proven their consistency as stars of Qooty and cannot be adjudicated as such. The closest <50 gamers were BoshtrichBurger and pantskyle who fell just short.

Nonetheless, the calculations are complete. The player overviews are written. The countdown is ready to go. So I look forward to you joining me as finally, after all the poster rankings threads that are thrown around this forum, we count down the Top 50 Qootyers of today!

*Stats correct to about a week ago when I began this. Many thanks to PVF Eth and everyone else who gave me a hand in the Sim Archives forum in accumulating everything into a spreadsheet to make this possible.

*Players will be announced in groups of five; sometimes one group a day, sometimes two.

*The equation and points tallies will be released at the conclusion to be no doubt picked apart by the statisticians among you.

This 2017 chapter to that 2014 series is gonna be run a little differently; namely, worse. Like objectively worse. I've not written up any little biographies to go with the players yet, so I'm going to be making them up as I go, with minimal research. Furthermore, I have no real schedule for posting players. Likely, I'll post players in bunches at inconvenient times of the night, before becoming inexplicably absent for some period of time. Nonetheless, it's more media, and as all learned media experts know, quantity over quality.

Anyway, get keen to grab some bragging rights over your buddies. And ultimately, find out who's the greatest player currently active in the league.

• Order determined by a mathematical formula to be released at end of rankings encompassing sim statistics and a range of league-wide awards
• Changes from previous seasons (outside of lack of organisation) include meddling with some multiplicative factors, discounting premierships as an indicator of singular player excellence, decreasing emphasis on games played, and generally being an improved formula.
• There is even a chance that this may be completed.

I like Footypie. I was kinda sad when he left the Demons, but now I think I like him even better as a Royal. I don't know the guy in his avatar, hopefully that doesn't reflect badly on me, if he's really famous or something. Anyway, he's played 132 games for 2494 disposals. (Footypie, not avatar guy). (Unless Footypie's avatar is an image of himself, which I would really respect. But it's probably not. Please clarify if someone knows.) A decent return overall. Congrats on number fifty.

Blacky [115.3 ranking points]​

Blacky's probably borderline my favourite poster in the league right now. I specifically remember being surprised when I first learnt he became captain, but I was pretty wrong. With 70 games for 532 kicks, I'm not quite sure how he even made the Top 50. It looks like he has a very strong average tackles per game, which would've done it. Angry Anderson is an acceptable avatar. I'd rate it better than Footypie's, I think. Two of my favourites to kick off the rankings, and both Royals. I really hope no ones going to bother reading these reviews. I'd definitely just be ctrl+Fing for my name if I was in their position. Forty-eight to come next for the mathematically challenged.

Remember when this guy was called wmoore and played for the Wonders? I assume he's still as much quality now as he was then, which was a lot. I kind of lose track of posters when they head down to the Roys. Anyway, 166 games for this guy. Only 14 hit-outs, which is an entirely uninteresting statistic. True though. It just clicked that the avatar is Johnny Bravo, I had Johnny English in my head the whole time, but that's the Rowan Atkinson guy. Best avatar yet, for those keeping track. A worthy 48.

One of the good guys. Played 182 games and at his 183rd club, which is quite an effort. Certified club whore, but you can't hold that against him. Couldn't name his soccer player av, so instantly bottom 2 avatars so far I think. Nonetheless, I'm a permanent fan of his work, so I'm glad he holds a place in this prestigious count.

I know little about this guy. Used to have a dancing banana avatar, of that I'm almost certain. The emus not bad. It's something of a meme that he is at work, and I believe that's born from the werewolf games. 164 games, over 11,000 Exie points picked up. I believe I'm correct in saying he's a Demon, so congrats on becoming the first from Buller in the count.

sante2003 being updated to sante was one of many name changes Cloud_ and I fixed up before giving the updated stats to Karnezis_13. 120 for the Furies, 26 at the Wonders and 18 at the Demons.
