I think they would loan him somewhere if that is still an option. Can they still loan to clubs in the Championship?
Ronaldo has said he is happy at Madrid.
So much for seeing him in Manchester next season![]()
Do you mean Atletico Madrid? Why would they bother when they have Courtois?Apparately Athletico want De Gea back on loan. Would be all for it if we could get someone decent to cover him
AS says Atletico chiefs are resigned to losing on-loan No1 Thibaut Courtois back to parent club Chelsea at the end of the season and see De Gea as an ideal replacement.Do you mean Atletico Madrid? Why would they bother when they have Courtois?
May be a major re-shuffling between the sticks in the summer window for many clubs. I can't see us not playing cech though, So courtois coming back wouldn't be ideal for him.AS says Atletico chiefs are resigned to losing on-loan No1 Thibaut Courtois back to parent club Chelsea at the end of the season and see De Gea as an ideal replacement.
A fresh loan bid has been discussed at board level, with Atletico expecting United to sign Stoke City keeper Asmir Begovic as next season's No1 and looking to send De Gea away to gain more experience
Would explain why Butland went to Stoke as well
Gomez does not really suit Peps style.Lewandowski in discussion with bayern according to bild and other german newspapers.
According to an Arsenal ITK (a real one) Arsenal via Dicky Law only bid 8 million for Villa. Wenger is not involved in negotiations anymore according to the same person.
Same person also said that when bidding for Cahill in 2011 Dicky Law put in a bid of 4 million and Kyle Bartley. Bartley was stolen from Boltons academy BTW and Bolton will no longer negotiate with Law.
Happen to mention what the fee was?West Ham chairman David Sullivan has confirmed that the club have agreed a fee with Liverpool for Andy Carroll in the summer, but that they were yet to agree terms with the player. There's talk though that he would prefer a move back to Newcastle and that we've enquired about Ben Arfa in a swap deal.

"I can only talk about this because it has been put in the public domain already. My manager wanted Andy Carroll, so we backed him. Andy was the perfect player for him and the style of football we play. We play a lot of high balls, a lot of crosses - quite exciting football, not just humping it but clever crossing - and Sam wanted Jarvis to supply the crosses because he is a fantastic crosser. We had a deal in place with Liverpool to borrow the player which automatically became a purchase if we stayed up."
"We hoped, as he had the same agent as our manager - a man we had done a lot of business with - and he was very friendly with Kevin Nolan, our captain, that Andy would want to come. But he really wants to stay at Liverpool. He believes that he will get back into the side by his performances - coming off the bench or for the reserves. He believes the manager will have to put him back in the side. But it's wrong to discuss what is in his mind. Only he knows that."
Carroll has been tipped for a move back to hometown club Newcastle, but Sullivan said: "We were paying all of his wages and a huge loan fee. Newcastle didn't even want to pay all of his wages."
"This is what we are led to believe. So Liverpool were not prepared to let him go to Newcastle. But it may all change. Who knows?"
He added: "It was a terribly expensive deal with the loan fee and with his wages, which were enormous - too much for a club like ours. But, as the manager really wanted him, we were prepared to pay it. Then there was a huge transfer fee which would have blown our budget for several years"
"West Ham have an agreement with Liverpool to sign him at the end of the season, but we have no agreement with the player. It was his desire to come to West Ham to prove himself to Liverpool and that hasn't changed."
"He has had injuries since he came, but he is back to fitness now and we have 15 games left... we need some goals and some points, so let's see."
but don't be surprised to see several low-mid table clubs with money to spend. If West Ham want to spend their money on Carroll (and it seems that they do) then great news for us I suppose.
17mil for Carroll lol. Take that and run if that's trueSullivan gave these quotes in August:
Carroll then obviously realised he wasn't going to get an opportunity at Liverpool and subsequently made the move to West Ham.
Sullivan then gave these quotes a few days ago:
As for the fee itself, I've heard £17m from a lot of sources, if that's true (and it seems Sullivan hasn't refuted it) then we should take it and run. Carroll will score a lot of goals over the course of his career but it won't be at a club like ours that is built around playing the ball around along the floor.
The interesting thing this summer will be the new Premier League TV rights deal, with each club netting an extra £20-30m per season. Obviously some of this will be taken up by wages, but don't be surprised to see several low-mid table clubs with money to spend. If West Ham want to spend their money on Carroll (and it seems that they do) then great news for us I suppose.

I dont think bringing him back will do much good he is in his 70's and his so has done a good job removing players from the club he is hated by some fans. What's the feeling amongst Arsenal fans about David Dein these days?
Just to make clear I really don't know.
