AS says Atletico chiefs are resigned to losing on-loan No1 Thibaut Courtois back to parent club Chelsea at the end of the season and see De Gea as an ideal replacement.
A fresh loan bid has been discussed at board level, with Atletico expecting United to sign Stoke City keeper Asmir Begovic as next season's No1 and looking to send De Gea away to gain more experience

Would explain why Butland went to Stoke as well

May be a major re-shuffling between the sticks in the summer window for many clubs. I can't see us not playing cech though, So courtois coming back wouldn't be ideal for him.

yeah Law is suppose to be ****ing useless in negations. In saying that 8m for Villa isn't to bad due to the debts they owe us, though the removal of debts would need to be included in the deal.

The interesting thing this summer will be the new Premier League TV rights deal, with each club netting an extra £20-30m per season. Obviously some of this will be taken up by wages, but don't be surprised to see several low-mid table clubs with money to spend. If West Ham want to spend their money on Carroll (and it seems that they do) then great news for us I suppose.

i would argue they already are. 5 years ago would you believe that fulham would have the golden boot winner from 2 seasons ago? or that they would have an ac milan player on the left wing? who would've thought that julio cesar would one day be playing for the bottom club in the premier league?

the premier league is money. now more than ever it's imperative for clubs to stay up, and for clubs around 8-11, this new money is going to help with more than just players. debts, wages, sponsors, it's a roll on effect that will continue to help clubs push on further. more money, more competition, more players, more money, it will roll on and on if handled correctly.

I dont think bringing him back will do much good he is in his 70's and his so has done a good job removing players from the club he is hated by some fans.
