Liverpool should keep Carroll and give him a go. It would look bad to sell a player that young for <10mil when just 2 years ago you paid 35mil

His value isnt going to improve if he stays with us because his attributes just don't fit the style we want to play. Extreme example but it would be like bringing Messi in and then continually bombing the ball in on his head and wondering why he isn't scoring. We're never going to see the best of Carroll in a Liverpool shirt so it's best for all parties that he moves on as soon as possible.

There'll be a lot of posturing from both sides regarding his valuation over the next few months and I'm sure Allardyce's most recent comments will just be the first of many negotiation tactics to force Liverpool to drop their asking price. He's scored 5 goals in his last 7 games since returning from injury, and if he keeps that form up until the end of the season I'm sure Big Sam will find a way to make the move happen because Carroll's the perfect striker for his system. Whether that move is at or below our asking price will largely depend on whether other clubs are seriously interested in him or if West Ham are the only club in negotiations. Allardyce and Sullivan for West Ham and Pardew for Newcastle have made their desire to sign Carroll quite clear so I'll be surprised if he's still in Liverpool colours next season, regardless of whether that's for £12m or £17m.

Allardyce is suggesting that West Ham won't be buying Carroll. Blamed the new premier league FFP rules.

I'll be interested to see the impact the additional revenue from the new TV deal will have on the transfer budgets of clubs like West Ham this summer. Remember that they're also getting a brand new £600m stadium with an extra 20,000 seats for just £15m in the next few years, so regardless of what Allardyce says I can't see West Ham being too concerned about FFP. If anything, they're going to benefit immensely from the new arrangements compared to other clubs around them.

So now Nani is being linked to PSG as well. A 40m combo deal for him and Rooney. It's on the Sun but are quoting a club source that said that they are very confident of landing Rooney.

I don't trust is as I do not think for one second United would sell Rooney for anything under 30m.

Arsenal linked to Gotze as well. **** I want this kid.

Hummels to Barca and again Neymar who is asking for more patience.
Cavani hinting at an exit.

I think going by the rumours spreading around that at the least the next market is going to be a good one.

it's "take it or leave it" - no more negotiations

usually a good source. sounds like it depends all on de bruyne. which makes sense, de bruyne is the better player.
Why is it up to De Bruyne? We would be mad to sell him even if we would get triple what we paid for him. He is a fantastic prodigy who is ours and that we make clear we have no intention of letting him go.

Yes he may be enjoying the Bundesliga but I'm sure he will also like Chelsea, plus it can only help his international career to be playing alongside Hazard and Lukaku every week.

Also I would also love Schurrle and dream of having both. Still think we could get a pretty handy fee for Marin who he would improve on.

report overnight (albeit not from the greatest source) that Man United want to sign Cabaye as a replacement for Scholes for around 15m.

Personally can't see that one happening unless Man Utd break the bank (and with a few possible big money moves already being speculated, not sure they will fork out the cash). Reported to be Mike Ashley's (our owner) favourite player, almost guaranteed to be our next captain if Colocinni does leave to go back to Argentina and 15m would not meet the club's hierarchy's valuation of him; not to mention the fact he is getting games for France and we just signed his best mate Debuchy last window.

There is definitely some interest on our side as our chairman and Pardew have both said they would be open to having him back (Pardew moreso). As you say, it will largely come down to the fee - if he was available at the right price, I'm also certain we would place a bid in but as our recent transfer history has shown, we are very tight with valuations and won't bump up transfer fees just to get the deal done. I would also say a new CB will be more of a priority especially if Colocinni leaves as being reported.

West Ham is a team I keep a close eye on due to them being my best mate's team and I think Gold and Sullivan (the owners) aren't afraid to spend the money when push comes to shove. At the moment, I would put them ahead of us in the potential race (they have first option with his loan deal I believe). If we try and haggle the price down, it may attract other EPL teams to consider him creating more competition so hopefully his Newcastle roots will aid us if we do go in for him.

Before he joined Liverpool, he had quite a bit of interest from Spurs (whilst they were under Redknapp) given they probably lack a striker, maybe they might consider Carroll too - though not sure if AVB is a fan or not.

Seriously I don't understand what Neymar is waiting for?! If this kid is to ever be considered the best amongst the best, he will have to play in some of the toughest leagues in Europe somewhere. He just seems so undecisive. "yeah, I like Barca. Real is a great club. I'd be an honour to play with Messi. EPL is appealing. I want to stay in Brasil". Too many mixed messages. Make up your mind kiddo, you won't be th first Brasilian to move abroad!

Lol Rooney and Nani for 40mil, Rooney is worth that by himself. Although the way Nani has been playing lately he wouldn't be worth that much. Would need 55mil for both Rooney and Nani

i think it's because santos and brazil as a whole want to keep him to be the centrepiece of the world cup.

Couldn't agree more.

He's also being paid very well so the money is less of an incentive, plus if he comes to Europe he won't be able to do this anymore:

Someone once said about Ronaldinho, that the day his career took a dive was the day that he decided putting on a show was more important than playing football. I can see Neymar having the same problem if he comes to Europe because while he's an incredibly talented player, it looks like he is developing some really bad habits (from what I've seen of his games for Brazil and highlights of his performances for Santos).

I don't believe this coming xfer window will be a bigger one. I think you will see established stars wanting to stay put but fringe players on the lookout for a new club. If the big players are well advised they will not want the pressure of a new league / club to effect their buildup to the World Cup. There's also a risk associated with that if they lose form in a new environment.

I believe established players will stay put for one more year, including: Rooney, Suarez, Gotze, Hummels

Ones I see looking to further establish themselves and look for a move: De Bruyne, Carrol, Cabaye etc.

Great article about KDB and Chelsea's(or Emenalo's) fantastic eye for young talent lately.

IMO there's almost zero chance we will be selling Kevin.

You would think Pep would look to spend at Bayern.
City will spend as will Chelsea. United will spend as we do. Arsenal need to spend.

If Mou leaves RM then the new manager will likely spend but even if he stays he will spend.

The money will flow this transfer market.

It's not too far off.

United will want 30-40m for Rooney. They won't sell for less then that. Nani could go for around 10-20m. Whether that's from the one club is the question.

personally think the manager market will be just as interesting as the transfer market

us, madrid, chelsea, barca, psg, arsenal might or will have new managers before the start of next season. threw barca in there based on the continual uncertainty of tito's illness.

Around £30-£35m for Rooney is one thing, but nani worth up to £20m?! Dreaming. But value is in the eye of the beholder I guess, depends how much a club really wants him.

It could be very exciting with lots of movement, or Chelsea & RM could just swap managers and the others just stay the same. Interesting times ahead.
