With Bayern signing Gotze and probably others, any chance they will be offloading any quality players?

When Pep went to Barca, didn't he offload a bunch of players like Eto'o, Ibra, Toure etc.? Get the feeling he might be gearing up to do the same. Hard to see Robben staying, and apparently Gomez has fallen out of favour massively.

Hopefully there are some CM's that United could look at. Because lord knows we need one!!

Van Buyten, Robben, Gomez and possibly Gustavo or Mueller could leave IMO. Mueller I say because technically he is not really good and I think that is something Guardiola really believes his players must be.

He sold Ronaldinho and Deco. He wanted to sell Eto'o but he stayed for one more season.

Toure went 1 or 2 seasons after but he was never one the club really wanted to sell. City were just offering him a massive contract which Barcelona couldn't afford for a player who was not a starter anymore. Miss Yaya though, was very popular and he loves Barcelona.

Song to Tottenham. flipping hell as much as I love Fergie, we should be looking at him as well!!

I doubt Fergie would touch Song with a ten foot stick. He isn't responsible enough to play a Defensive mid role, and isn't creative enough to play an attacking role (for Man U that is). Carrick and Evans are a level above him.

Wenger will be lolling so hard at Tottenscum buying Song.

Hardly.

37 million euros for Gotze, 20 something for Lewandowski plus whatever they get for Hummels and they have as much if not more clout than anyone in the upcoming transfer market. There are still a lot of very, very good players at Dortmund and a couple of handy replacements and you'll see them challenging Bayern again.

That usually sounds easier than it is though. They won't find a Goetze elsewhere and clubs will know they're desperate to spend. They can build for the future but it would be a massive step back for next season. Players need to settle in and all that.

alex song is an astoundingly average player who was made to look like a superstar by a striker than finished his hero ball's.

barca buying him for his 'versatility' made me laugh. as in saying they don't know why they bought him.

Everything in this post is 100% correct.

I dunno, that young guy Isco from Malaga to me is on the same level as Gotze and isn't his buyout only in the 20mil area? Might be a perfect fit for Dortmund who excel at developing youngsters.

I agree though, Lewandowski and Gotze going are massive. Sahin will be recalled to Madrid as well right?

isco is a good player but gotze is another level. plus he buyout clause is about 35 mil now after signing a new contract. dortmund historically havent spent lots of money on players too.

this means they can afford dzeko now though. hurray.

If you are angry now just wait till Suarez goes to Munich

Not angry at all - I don't follow German football, nor do I have anything against Bayern - I just wonder how any other German team can realistically compete when Bayern can simply cherry pick its rivals' best players.

Maybe Song is no world beater but United NEED another central mid. Haven't bought one since 07 or something when we bough Anderson. Would Rooney in CM be better than Song?

Sahin's loan at Dortmund runs until the end of the 13/14 season I'm pretty sure. He'll be at Dortmund for a long time/ for the rest of his career regardless.

I doubt Isco will want to go to Dortmund if the likes of Real are interested in him. Anyway that all depends if those clubs are really interested of course.

Sahin would depend on Real's coach next season, if his loan doesn't finish like THE411 says.

"£70m transfer kitty"

We've heard that for the last 5 years though. I honestly can't see anything changing until Stan the silent pisses off.

Mind you, Wenger hasn't been given an automatic renewal on his contract, so maybe this year he will just say '**** it' and spend big.

How do you know it is down yo Silent Stan.

I wouldnt trust Wenger to spend 70 mil anyway he will probably buy shit players anyway.

Bayern's team is stacked. It's obvious that Pep wanted Gotze real bad. He'll want to get him to play in a similar style role to Messi at Barca for sure. Gotze isn't the player that Messi is right now but I think he could flourish if his finishing develops. When Messi was 20 I remember he used to get criticized for not being clinical enough, it was the season before he broke out. I reckon under Pep he could turn into a top 5 player in the world.

I guess no one knows, but if you look at any of the clubs Stan owns, they are either shite, on the downslide or just not progressing at all (see Arsenal).

We all knew we were going to have a very limited budget whilst paying off the stadium debt, and we can thank Stan for making it so we paid it off quickly, but really, why would someone like Stan be willing to part with a shitload of money when he has no emotional attachment to the sportsclub when he can instead just keep on pocketing millions. I really believe Wenger loves the club and wants it to succeed, and if someone gave him 70 mil to spend as he likes, he would just do it.

I thought the transfers last summer were fantastic. Cazorla is a freak, Podolski is clinical and one of our best players when not injured and whilst Giroud is limited he is the perfect back up to someone like an RVP and hopefully a Jovetic or Villa.
