If Moyes comes, surely we are in a better position to sign players like Baines, Fellaini and Barkley.

Hibbert too.

nope. that's what i meant about the easy and smooth transition. no payout, no dramas.

But apparently the new manager is working on a release from his club.

it would just be finer details. im not sure if you can be announced as a manager of one club while being in charge of another. payout would be minimal, if any.

the independent saying there will be no compensation as moyes is running down his contract and will be presented at the end of the week

Everton have said that they haven't heard from United.

probably because they haven't. as there will be no compensation i don't think utd need to tell everton anything. moyes will.

Manchester United chief executive David Gill, speaking to MUTV: "We have to look forward now and I think any manager coming in will inherit a great squad and great staff around him. It is a dream job. I won't speculate on the announcement but I think we will move relatively quickly.

"In Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex we got in managers who got involved in all aspects of the club. That degree of loyalty is crucial to the success of Manchester United. He (the next manager) needs the required football experience in terms of domestic and European requirements, so it is a small pool.

SSN reporting that Moyes has left the Everton training ground.

Not entirely surprising as I inagine he does that pretty much every day.

BREAKING : David Moyes is set to be appointed the new manager of Manchester United by the end of the week, Goal.com understands.

Sources have told Goal.com that the United players have learned today that Moyes is the man who has been lined up to take over from Sir Alex.

Can't see us remaining at the top of the food chain in the EPL with Moyes in charge, going to even things out for sure now.

Let's hope he proves us wrong though.

If it's Moyes then it's Moyes. More likely to stick around for 10+ years then a Mou.

I hope they let him spend. I still think some deals are lined up already.

Falcao's tweet was very interesting I thought.

A new United era. Let's see what happens.
