Rooney has stopped short of submitting a formal transfer request this time but feels the time has come to go.

It's not like offering him more money is going to entice him to stay this time either, he's already the highest paid player in the league. This couldn't have come at a worse time for United, this is shaping up as one of the most challenging off seasons in the clubs history.

No way Rooney will leave, the boy from Liverpool is Manchester United! You only have to check out a few years ago when he held the club to ransom to show how determined he is to stay. It is rare these days but he is loyal, even hiring a prostitute so he could be a better lover for his much adored wife. If he moves across the road it only proves he is Mr Manchester. He realises that things might be changing and getting tougher so instead of looking for a way out he is willing to hamper United's opposition by making them pay his ridiculous wage demands and therefore sacrificing other signings. Wayne will always be a United legend!
