i don't think you can take 99% of the rumours seriously. the window doesn't open for about a month and a half. there is some stuff that is much more reliable than others, but when it comes down to it, they're all just rumours. there's only a handful of transfers actually done, like gotze to bayern and garrido/van wolfswinkel to norwich permanently. the rest is just talk, either bullshit talk or informed talk.

Cesc is simular to Ronaldo. Left EPL because they always wanted to play/had connections for Barca/Madrid. And both loved their EPL teams.

Ronaldo will only come back to the EPL for Manchester, Cesc for Arsenal.

But in saying this, I thought Xabi Alonso would never sign for a EPL team other than Liverpool, now he is linked with Chelsea.

From memory he refused to play for Arsenal again as he wanted to be sold to Barca. Plus there wouldn't be that many of the same people at Arsenal in terms of players (RVP, Nasri, Adebayor, Clichy etc etc)

Probably because fans don't know shit. Saying this will never happen and player x will only play for team y gives people a sense if actually knowing stuff.

Very few players that wouldn't go to another club in the same league. A lot will say they wouldn't but thats mainly for show.

If Cesc ever came on the market I would expect there to be about 3 or 4 clubs in the running, same with Tranaldo.
