Dejan Lovren (Croatian CB from Lyon, linked with us over the last few months) just started following Liverpool FC on twitter. Interesting. The only other clubs he follows are Lyon and Bayern Munich.
I'd say that probably means we can add him to the likes of Papadopoulos (Schalke), Alderweireld (Ajax) & Tiago Ilori (Sporting Lisbon) on the list of CB's we're looking at to replace Carragher. I'd be happy with any of them to be honest.
Media links us to so many players most of them i doubt we would consoder.
Papa is gd the rest not so much
Chelsea are one of our rivals and Xabi played for us for 5 years and loves the club. That would be dogging us out. If he comes back to England, it will be with us.How will that be dogging Liverpool if he went to Chelsea?![]()
Yeah id be pleased with any of them to be honest. Probably Papadopoulos first as I think he has the biggest ceiling. Lovren and Alderweireld next up. Ilori is young, wouldnt play right away.Dejan Lovren (Croatian CB from Lyon, linked with us over the last few months) just started following Liverpool FC on twitter. Interesting. investment company Delcir, which owns 40 percent of Neymar’s economic rights, told Barcelona radio station RAC1 this evening that “a lot of things” would have to change for the Brazilian star not to play for Barcelona next season.
Signing someone like Coutinho gives ya a bit of confidence in Rodgers' ability to spot a good buy in the continent, not just buying his ol' mates at Swansea or local British talent (with the exception of Sturridge which was an excellent buy)
The players that are gonna best suit his system will be from aboard, and they'll be cheaper, too.
this short french article says Paris will offer Real about 100 million euros for Ronaldo

English players will always be inflated. They're home grown and also proven to handle the english conditions and style of game. Less risk than a foreign player.Coutinho has definitely been a great buy for you guys but was always a talented player even at Inter.
Good to see other clubs looking abroad though for new players - in time, may help reduce the inflation of English players who are hugely overpriced.
