• 16 year old Barcelona forward Sergi Canos was photographed leaving Melwood yesterday having signed and done a tour of the facilities.

Ive kept an eye on Chelsea and as a Liverpool supporter, I have seen Torres play a lot. He doesnt look the same player, doesnt seem to have the same drive and intensity. But that is probably down to confidence. He was banging them in for Liverpool and his confidence was sky high so he would chase that much harder, close down that bit quicker, chase those lost balls, he was loving his football.

That's not the case at Chelsea. His confidence is shot, his body language shows that and his effort and performance are a domino effect from that.

I agree with this. Torres has lost his speed etc but I haven't seen his work rate suffer because of it.

definitely agree on the torres effort. speed is gone, and so is the confidence for the most part.

and why is there seemingly a myth that psg are going to offer massive, massive amounts of cash for players now. they've already done that and got their stars in. they're not going to swoop in and offer 60 mil and 400k a week in wages.

I think we already bought him. Coutinho.

But apart from him, Papa is extremely highly rated across Europe. Some say a young Vidic. Toure is obviously just a depth/experience/leadership type signing. Canos one for the future. Obviously we are targeting other players too. We do need a marquee signing though and that player could be Eriksen.

Not sure what you have been watching either. Everything about Torres is different. Workrate, pace, confidence, ability, technique. He just isnt the same player anymore. He is frustrated.

Torres is likeable and considering he hasnt set the world on fire at Chelsea, I still actually like him because I actually feel sorry for him.
