As Arsenal would lose one of their depth defenders, they are also looking at De Vrij from Feyenoord (this seems a very Wenger-esque signing, not sure about the above however).

Felliani's value is pretty interesting. He is pretty versatile in that he can CM, DCM, CAM or even an out and out striker which would bode well for a CL team which rotates players. However, he has really only come into his own this year playing as a CAM or second striker to Jelavic where Everton have adapted their method of play to suit his height with heaps of long balls and crosses into the box. If he moved to a CL team I really doubt they would play him in this position he excels at and the style to match it.

On the other hand, I don't see Everton selling less for 28m considering he was our record signing at 15m and has been developed from a really raw talent. I don't think its worth it for a CL team to buy him if they just play him as a DM or CM personally.

on the topic of joel campbell, only just saw his winner for betis vs deportivo. real peach of a goal. looks a lot like ramires in terms of his body shape, pretty quick too.

Fellaini was pretty dominant as a DM last season, won the 2nd most tackles in the league and won possession more than any other player. Has a massive tank, just doesn't stop covering ground.

Over the last 3 or so seasons I'd have Sanga as the best and most consistent RB. Easily worth more than one year.

I think the point was that the best "nominal position" in the league isn't established over the course of August to November, but over a period a few seasons.

I wouldn't bother, it seems some people stopped watching Johnson play in 2007 and are futilely trying to rehash the "he can't defend" argument which to be honest is absolutely laughable now. He and Enrique are in career best form this season and are absolutely unstoppable at the moment, Rodgers system has definitely got the best out of both of them.

Rafael's improved out of sight this season. He's been very impressive and he's certainly up there, but definitely behind Johnson and Sagna as the best RB's in the league.
