Apparently that's the figure being quoted. I wouldn't want us paying more than 2-3m, but if we're seriously keen we might fork up more. He's not some over-paid, close to retirement hack, spending 4m on him is an investment for the future.

Incorrect. He's very much over-paid at Leicester. But hey you can probably now afford it better than we can. Allegedly we are cutting costs. We have a bucket load of duds on big contracts (beckford etc).

He's still pretty much in his prime, not sure he would even consider coming down here just yet.

Only way would be for the FFA to stump up the money but he isn't exactly a big household name that would get casual fans to games like a Yorke, Del Pierro, Heskey, Kewell, Emerton type. Would probably only be known to those who actually follow football abroad.
