Luis Alberto (Barcelona B) is the other Spanish player that is about to agree to join Liverpool. A midfielder in the Xavi/Iniesta mould ... can play midfield/forward and is on loan from Sevilla. So it wasnt in the hands of FCB. Great buy by Liverpool

I don't know but he looks like a brilliant footballer. He's been playing alongside up and coming Barcelona stars like Deulofeu, Sergi Roberto & Rafinha this season and obviously standing out judging by that video and his stats for this season. Very interesting prospect, hopefully Balague has got this one right.

I wouldn't worry too much about what the papers speculate our budget might be. They've said we'd only have £20m to spend every season under FSG and the last 2 seasons we've gone out and spent £40m net. Rodgers says there's no exact figure, he'll be backed to sign the players he thinks the club needs to make the top 4 this season and I'm inclined to believe him. Remember we're also going to have at least £25-30m in player sales to add to the budget as well.

You make good points, you can never trust the papers and how much they say we have. Still hoping for a move for Eriksen though.

Heard that too and made me wonder how they would know.

According to Leverkusen's president they have agreed that De Bruyne joins them for a 1 season loan for free as part of the deal for Schuerrle.
