not being swayed by money
real madrid

good one.
As opposed to city? No matter where he went, that was going to be a draw card.

I actually think City win out of this. It's a lot of coin for someone that isn't all that proven.

Being linked to LFC and EFC, is he a southampton/cardiff standard player?

Currently yes but he only turned 22 today. Even now I can see him having a big impact with those teams. He reminds me a lot of Yaya, can run all day box to box, strong tackler and a good finisher. He was man of the match in Celtic's in against Barcelona so doesn't look out of place on the big stage.

Might need a season or two to find his feet with a new club in the PL but can see him being a very good player and I think would fit in well at Liverpool. Cetic agreed a deal with Southampton for 12 million pounds so he isn't too big a gamble by any means.

depends on what his intentions are. not all parents are like that.

extremely doubtful of course, it ends up being madrid. very few footballers, especially young spaniards, can resist having zidane get on the phone and ring you to get you to join madrid.
True but how could either of us know? Do you admit it would be easier for the young guy to be living in the same country, probably making similar money, to choose Madrid over City? If it wasn't for Pellegrini, City wouldn't have even been an option

well money is a drawcard for any player moving anywhere. to pretend that madrid don't pay big bucks is lunacy.

i've never admitted it wasn't.

but the way it currently seems is that we've had stuff agreed with isco, then zidane/madrid have swooped in and offered he or malaga something to turn his head. until it's official either way that's all there is to go by.

I never pretended Madrid didn't. I suggested that saying City weren't doing exactly the same thing was lunacy.

Was it official that Isco had agreed anything with City before Madrid swooped in? It's all innuendo and there is almost no way of knowing if you had anything agreed with Isco. Why go with that when you have no idea if there is any truth to it or not? When it comes to our own teams, we certainly hear what we want to hear regarding transfers.

i have never pretended we didn't. no idea where you got that from in all honesty. i was responding to the idea that seemingly isco would've turned down megabucks to go to clever spending and fiscally responsible madrid.

and i didn't say it was official. the opening sentence was meant to sort of be a general state of play sum up with all the rumours that have been going round. some say we never made a bid, some say we had stuff agreed and isco had his head turned when zidane rang him after the u/21 tournament, either way i've not suggested any of them are the right one. the only point i've definitively made is that i don't really care if he moves to madrid.

Where did I say that? Type Club may have suggested it.

It's all part and parcel come the silly season I guess. If you don't care if he moves to Madrid, surely you don't want your club throwing money at a player you don't think is necessary at City?

I certainly wasn't trying to attack you personally so apologies if that's the way it has come across.

Reports coming out of Napoli that the Cavani deal is done. €58Mil is the final figure.

Excellent news if true.

Where'd you get that from? A mate last night said the deal was a no-goer. Fock i hope he comes! Ill be investing heavily into some replica's!

Wanyama has rejected terms put forward by Southampton. Cardiff now the front runners but I think he's holding out for an offer from a bigger club.

Would love him at Newcastle :D

Its good to see a young player not being swayed by money. He appears to be well advised by his dad.

Here's some highlights of Real's potential new signing

Where has it been suggested that we have offered more money than Madrid?

Trying to keep it together until it's official, but I'm struggling.
