Don't see what the problem is. Decent team, decent league, champions league football. It's not all about the money, I'm sure he could get more elsewhere. Not every player is desperate to play for an English mid table club.

he wouldn't be playing there for the money. fenerbahce don't have that much cash. i'd say it's that no one else has put in an offer for him.

- They haven't been in the champions league for 4 seasons now.
- Team involved with match fixing.
- Average league where you'll be getting kicked 3-5 times more than EPL.
- Good team on paper that could go far in the Europa league, but their coach is average.
- Unlikely to win the league so they would have to finish 2nd and go through 2 qualifying rounds for champions league.
- Not a very good league for career progression.

Very strange transfer.

Actually Fenerbahce are fine financially. They constantly bring in players for 10m and pay them like 80k p/w.

They have Ake and Chaloba in reserves who can fill in at centre back if Luiz become a defensive midfielder. Though Chaloba is out on loan.

Also cant see Isco going to Chelsea if he does then he should sack his manager.
They are both mids not CBs.

I would love for us to recall Chalobah and giving him some time at DM, he's been playing there at Watford and is cutting it up apparently.

Have to laugh at reports that Modric could be looking for a move back to the EPL. He has failed miserably at Real Madrid, £33m flop and should never have left Tottenham.

Don't think we would be after him but i'm sure Man City and Chelsea would be.

Modric is 6 months into his new career at Madrid, in a new league and new environment. Hardly enough time to make an informed opinion of his output.
Yeah, but the DM need to write something to fill column space. Modric is not getting much of a run, ergo he is a flop and on the move.

He's pretty good currently as well. If keepers really hit their peak at 29 or so that won't be until 2020 so the best is to come. Would not want him leaving
I'm not against us signing another keeper who is ready right now like say pepe reina, but selling de gea would be stupid, like you said, his best is yet to come and keepers usually take time until they become very good, most world class keepers are 30+.

Reina is rubbish these days according to my Liverpool supporting (eek) mates. De Gea is better than him right now

BBC is running with United wanting to sell De Gea as well.

I find it laughable. The guy is improving game by game and is already great at saving shots. Once he works on being a bigger presence in the box, when he needs to clear the ball and make sure the attacker doesn't get it, he'll be one of the best going round.
