I hope he doesn't get sold in January. I like having good players at smaller clubs. Love a good spanner in the works

I don't think atletico is a small club

Why would Huntelaar leave Schalke for Liverpool?

- He has ended contract renewal talks with Schalke
- May want to test himself in the Premier League, the one major league he hasn't played in
- Play alongside the striker who brought out some of his career best form at Ajax
- Guaranteed to start nearly every game maximizing his chance of securing a starting spot with the Dutch national
team ahead of Van Persie
- We may offer him more money
- We might have finished 6th/7th in the last few seasons but despite their recent success, Schalke finished 14th in
2010/11. They're not exactly a powerhouse of German football and it's definitely not a step down for him to come
to Liverpool.

That being said, I think we're more likely to end up with one of Ba, Remy or maybe even Sturridge not only because for a variety of reasons they'll be easier to attain but also because they can play as wide forwards whereas Huntelaar can only really play centrally.

I have seen Arsenal linked with Barrios. Meant to not be happy in China.

Don't know why he went to China in the first place. He's only 27 so he's not exactly looking for a final pay day and he showed with Dortmund that he's definitely capable of performing in the big leagues.

I'm happy for Nani to go, has never become the player he promised to be and is not improving anymore, heart is not at United.

Wouldn't mind Rodriguez from Porto but haven't seen enough of him yet and there are rumours that he is getting valued at £36m, if that's the case then no thanks.

We desperately need a defensive midfielder, a big strong Toure/Dembele/Fellaini type player who can boss the midfield for us. I also wouldn't be against getting Sneijder, he could then play the position Rooney is, then we could move Rooney back upfront alongside RVP, with Kagawa and Toni V supporting.

Sneijder's wage demands will be astronomical. Nani + cash for JR could work.

Was just thinking that, getting RVP in the summer has all but ended a move for Sneijder here, i was just suggesting it anyway. He would want £250,00 a-week no doubt.

I'd be happy for a £15m+Nani for Rodriguez deal.

wouldn't be going near sniejder with a 10 foot pole. constant injuries, 28, astronomical wages, inter would want a decent fee cos he's signed till 2015 and a pretty ordinary look at me look at me attitude. plus can united afford to have 3 guys around or above the 200k a week bracket? united are better off keeping that money and tacking on something like 15 mil + nani for coutinho.

Such a waste being playing in China. He is class and would be a real good get for any team.

I know the guy i'm about to mention is 34, but surely Drogba would still be a force playing at a good team?? Obviously is happy with seeing out he's career in China though, a shame.

Chelsea could do with him right now.

Do you really think we would go for ba or remy?
Sturridge isnt the out and out striker we need. What we need is someone like Huntelaar to put the ball away.

Yeah but at the same time Sturridge is a better finisher than anything we have currently, we tried to pick him up in the summer so the interest is definitely there, he's out of contract come seasons end which will cut his transfer fee, he seems unsettled at Chelsea, he's young, has a lot of potential which fits with our transfer policy and provides versatility in that he can also fill that wide right forward role for the games where Rodgers wants to play Suarez through the middle. Same re: Walcott, Ba or Remy. Huntelaar is a fantastic finisher (although limited to playing centrally) and if he's avaliable I'm sure we'll go for him because he'll be available relatively cheaply, but the competition for him will be fierce.

Would love Huntelaar, I have no doubt he would see us mount a serious challenge for top 4. Having said that, I wouldn't be displeased with Sturridge or Remy, not sold on Ba. Love watching him, but he's fits & spurts player. Went missing after January last season. We need as close to guaranteed goals as you can get, Huntelaar fits the bill. Would love Erikksen too but very much a pipe dream, reckon the owners will want to see a return on their summer investment before splashing out for the likes of him, they have been burnt before.

Good luck with that.

You'd need more then Huntelaar to be in contention for top 4.
