I did think this thread was a bit premature nly being in November.

Not for an Arsenal supporter.

I'd think we would be right on top of Llorente; Huntelaar a chance and Holtby has been linked with us for a year or so (said last year his dream is Arsenal IIRC). I think Wenger also has his eye on Isco.

Another quality mid is a must and a goalkeeper. I'd expect Butland will get some offers in January.

Not that it matters. I'm sure we'll only sign that 17year old WUNDERKID that Wenger creams about every year.

lol Wenger spend.

Good chance of getting an ex player back for a gimmick return though.

You'd need more then Huntelaar to be in contention for top 4.

You put a player like Huntelaar who can finish and take advantage of the 'half chances' into our side for any of the several games so far this season where we completely controlled the game, peppered the goal but were let down by our finishing (v Newcastle, Stoke, United, Sunderland or even City) and we'd be entrenched in the top 4 already.

Having seen what happened when we added Torres to our blunt attack in 2007 I think you'd be amazed at the difference that sort of player can make (we saw it again with Arsenal last season, RVP's finishing dragged them from midtable right back into the Champions League). Having said that I agree I still think we'd need another 2-3 attacking players to be truly competitive at the top of the table, the depth for the rest of the team is fine but we're one Suarez hamstring away from losing our only remaining goal threat and the players coming out of the academy (while showing a hell of a lot of promise) aren't quite ready yet.

Even if you got Huntelaar there is still about 5 teams better then you and you're right if Suarez goes down that's it.

another guy i expect a lot of news about is de rossi. daily fail reporting he's told friends that he wants to leave roma. other papers saying his agent is in england.

I heard something else about him being out of Roma's first team plans as well. I'm almost positive he'll be moving in January, would be a good pick up if he can regain his past form.

to be fair they've said 'in contention' not 'a top 4 team'. there's a big difference in those two statements.

if you get schalke huntelaar and not milan/madrid huntelaar than they would be a top 4 contender for sure.

I said in contention.

I reckon fsg will want to het fans back on their side.
Would not be surprised if we got walcott, huntleer and sturridge all for less than their value.
It's funny how you think just because your team wants the player they will go there.

According to the Mirror if Arsenal miss out on Zaha they will look at Taarabt.

If this happens Wenger has officially gone senile.

I'd say he already has.

I feel Wenger really wants Zaha and will get him, doubt the Tarrabt rumours are true though if they are he wouldn't be the worse pick up as long as you can sort out his attitude cause he is talented just a head case.

Also Kyle Wenger doesn't have money to spend otherwise he would spend it.
