Think apart from RVP, there ain't much separating the likes of Rooney Tevez Aguero and Suarez

Suarez on current scoring form deserves to be mentioned with the other top strikers of the league
Suarez is very good, but he is a level below the ones you mentioned when all on top form.

Of course you do. Everything about Liverpool is amazing and the best.

I bear no bias towards either side, whereas yours is always going to be subjective.
Not everything. But Suarez is on fire right now. Only RVP has been his equal this season. He's certainly in the conversation for best striker in England.

Pfft, do you really think I care? And that has nothing to do with what we are talking about.

Oh, and at least nobody at Arsenal is as racist as him :thumbsu:
Again reasons for Tevez and Aguero being better. Id say Suarez has Aguero covered and is level with Tevez who I do rate very highly also.

Suarez is better at international level too than either Aguero and Tevez. Has a better scoring rate than either also.

Aguero>Tevez>Suarez.

Van Persie best striker in the league though.

hardly has a better scoring rate. 30 from 60 compared to 16 from 41. aguero has more goals for us than suarez does for liverpool, in 13 less league games too. only recently has suarez played better than aguero, that doesn't make him a better player by any stretch of the imagination.

34 goals and 14 assists in 60 games for City.
31 goals and 17 assists in 67 games for LFC.

This season though, 11 and 4 in 16 games for LFC compared to 4 and 2 in 12 for Aguero at City.

16 in 40 for Argentina is not as good as 30 in 60 for Uruguay.

I think RVP, Tevez, Suarez and Aguero are the best 4 strikers in England though. Not much separates them.

is it though? there's very few high scorers for the argentine team, only messi is starting to finally get a wriggle on. for some reason, for a team with such attacking ability, there's some poor goal tallies there. messi with 31 in 76, higuain is pretty good at 16 in 30, but tevez has something like 13 in 60.

and i already said that suarez has had a better season than aguero. but last season's aguero's was much better. would not get rid of him for suarez, or tevez for that matter either. suarez is better than dzeko and mario, but they are pretty different players.

I think some weighting has to be placed on the relative quality of the attackers Aguero, Tevez and Suarez have to play alongside too. The likes of Silva, Nasri, Balotelli, Toure when he pushes forward etc are clearly much better than the players Suarez has to work with at Liverpool. The City boys have certainly been better performed statistically and scored more goals at club level over the last few seasons but Suarez essentially both creates and finishes 95% of the goals he scores. His record at international level supports this, when he's working with Cavani & Forlan at Uruguay he's been close to the best striker in the world at international level over the last 2 years, I'd be surprised if anyone apart from Messi had matched his scoring rate for their country in that time.

Either way it's close, I wouldn't say he's better than either Tevez or Aguero but it's certainly not a stretch to say he's on the same level.

This time last year he was voted by his peers as the 5th (?) best player in the world at the FIFA Ballon D'or awards. They can't all be wrong.

Edit: 6th, Aguero was 17th, Tevez didn't make the list.

IMO Suarez needs to carry on with his scoring to be considered a top striker in the league.

11 goals last season, and he'd want to at least double that before being seen as elite in terms of goalscoring.

Has a lot to offer aside from goals bit unless he carries on with the goals he won't ever be seen as one of the best in the league.

For me 11 games isn't enough to make an informed opinion of a player. So if he wasn't one of the best forwards in the league last May (and IMO he wasn't) he certainly isn't in November.

He might be next May if he carries on.

It may sound ridiculous, but I think if Suarez started finishing the huge number of chances he creates at the same rate as Aguero or Van Persie we'd be talking about him on a level with Messi & Ronaldo, let alone Tevez and Aguero. This is certainly a huge weakness in his game and it must be taken into consideration but in my opinion it's the only weakness. 55 shots on goal this season (next is RVP on 29, Suarez was also 2nd to Rooney in this stat last season despite missing 10 games through suspension) and more than double the touches inside the penalty area of the next closest player. His approach and link up play is unrivaled in the Premier League amongst forwards, he just needs more composure when he's in front of goal. God knows he creates enough chances both for himself and his team-mates.

Supposedly he needs to score more goals at club level to be considered on the same level as Aguero, but as has been pointed out, he's scored 2 less goals than Aguero and provided 3 more assists (albeit in 7 more games) in their time at LFC and MCFC respectively so I don't see how that part of the argument can stand, particularly when you consider their international records over the same period. Like I said, I don't think he's better than Aguero or Tevez solely because of his wastefulness in front of goal, but he can certainly be talked about on the same level as those 2. Van Persie is on his own, his finishing is freakishly clinical.
