Some talk that we are now entering the race to sign Theo Walcott. Nani will be gone so we need a replacement but Walcott?? he's ok, but Nani is better, when he is on, which is not very often.

Valencia is better than both of them, seems like a nothing story.

Walcott want to play as a striker which he defiantly won't so ahead of Van Persie, Rooney etc.

Momo Diame has a 3.5 mill Champs League club clause in his contract. Personally think a club will take that up at seasons end (no one will in January because of his hammy). A stupid thing to agree too by the Daves but when the player is a free agent they really do have all the power in the world.

For that price he would be a nice edition to United

I pray it's Arsenal - he's just what we need.

Man United turned him down pretty much. He has a heart condition (hence why he can never run out 90 mins). On our bench every game he has his own heart specialist employed just too look after him (he pays for) and his own defiblarator as well. This is pretty much the reason he is with us and not a bigger club.

Clubs have to decide whether they want to take the risk on. IMO he will head off to a Serie A club.

Diame was quoted in the summer as saying he was on his way to Liverpool before Dalglish was sacked and Rodgers opted for Allen & Sahin instead. Hearing about his heart condition at the time I was glad we didn't follow up on it, but the guy is an absolute beast. Whoever takes a risk on him could find themselves in possession of a powerful, dynamic midfielder but like you say, you'd have to question whether the uncertainty surrounding his health is worth the risk.

On another note, have you heard anything about West Ham being interested in taking Cole off our hands? I've read that you, QPR & Lille have enquired about his availability in January. The unfortunate thing for us is that the previous regime placed him on the sort of exorbitant wages (~£100k/week) that are normally reserved for star 1st team players, and as a result he's going to be very difficult to take off the books unless we agree to pay a significant part of those wages.

Diame was literally in Liverpool for a medical when Dalglish got sacked. He was hours away from joining. Sam said he asked Kenny about it and Diame wasnt lieing. Liverpool have been the only club I can think off that took players on with heart conditions. Think Hamman + Sissoko both had similar problems.

No chance we want Joe Cole. Like none at all. He doesnt fit a need for our squad + we wont really have any money to spend in January.

By mid January we should have about 9 first team players returning from injury/loan (Diarra, Collison, Carroll, Demel, Diame, Vaz Te, Benayoun, Hall, Henderson) so that will be our new signings so to speak

Joe Cole isn't a Big Sam footballer in a million years, not a chance of that happening

'But Allardyce has now said the Merseyside misfit could help the Hammers’ injury-hit squad by moving back to east London.

Big Sam said: “You would have thought that Joe would be involved there by now, because of all of Brendan’s injury problems and his lack of strength in depth. But he doesn’t appear to have managed to be able to do that there. Whether we move for him depends on where we are and what we do in the next week or two, particularly with our injury list. My chairmen extended as much money as they possibly could in August - and went beyond it. Whether they can find any more or not is something I will discuss with them in the near future. I think if there is a chance, it would be more on the terms of a loan, than on a permanent deal for the player.”'

Abramovich has supposedly offered Falcao £10 million a year to join Chelsea. Holy shiz.

Sanchez to Liverpool would be huge. Why isn't he starting at Barca? Just behind Pedro?

his been injured the last month or so. And pedro has found some form.

I personally feel that Sanchez in over-rated and that their are much better players out their who have much better end product then Sanchez. Good player but not worth the 35 million that Barca brought him for.

Don't he and Pedro play on opposite wings? I think Sanchez's influence is just less than it was at Udinese because he has more skillful players around him.

If Falcao does come to the premier league, it would be a shame to see him go to Chelsea or City but I can't see anyone else paying Athletico enough
