jeez puyol and xavi will be quite old by that time

By then Cesc should of overtaken Xavi by a bit, ready replacement. Don't know who is going to replace Puyol though. I'm sure they'll get a freak.

According to Tony Barrett (The Times) and various other reliable sources, Liverpool have agreed fees and terms to bring Sturridge (for £12m & £60k/week) and Tom Ince (£4m & £25k/week) to Anfield in the first week of the transfer window. They're still working on "1 or 2" more targets, I'm expecting us to try to sign 1 of Walcott or Mertens.

Wasn't Strurridge rated at 8-10m a few weeks ago?

Based on the Bigfooty collective guesstimate? His perceived market value only dipped a little because of confusion surrounding his contractual situation at Chelsea so while it was thought he could've been available for £8-10m, I think £12m is about right for him and to be honest, it's not my money so if the club spends an extra million here or there it doesn't bother me, even in a worst case scenario we're not talking about overpaying at the level of a Downing/Carroll. He's young, he's got a lot of ability, he's a great finisher and in all likelihood could be a £15-20m player in the next few years if given the opportunity to continue developing properly.

He's not going to set the league on fire or top the goalscoring but he certainly provides significant improvement to our squad in an area that desperately needs it and is exactly the sort of versatile attacker Liverpool are looking for.

We better be bringing someone in if we're selling Sturridge. I don't think I could handle not having a striker in the squad.

Preaching to the choir mate! I'm sure Chelsea won't have agreed to a deal unless they had someone coming in, but to be fair it's not as though you've had any need for Sturridge so far this season, only 2 starts and 7 substitute appearances in all comps. Moses is definitely preferred as that wide forward/back up striker.

Isn't Falcao almost certain to go to Chelsea? And if he goes to Real Madrid then they'll have to sell Higuain. So you could get him.

You guys are apparently getting Falcao.

I suspect Walcott will stay at Arsenal, and Mertens is probably a better player (especially for the style of football Rodgers is preaching) anyway.

Why would Falcao leave in the middle of a season when Aletico are in second. I doubt he moves to the offseason.

$$$$$$$.

They are no chance to win La Liga, so if he's offered enough money to go to a bigger club in a bigger league I think he will go. He has a buy out cause to(£48million ) so I don't think there is much AM can do to stop him either if he wants to leave. Plus aren't AM in a fair bit of debt so this cash would come in very handy.

he probably wont have a choice in the end. atletico's debts are terrible.

Probably won't be mid-season though, they would be stupid not to ensure they have champs league qualification for next year before selling their prime goal scorer

Yeah I think I'd prefer Mertens too particularly given he's capable of also playing in behind Suarez as well as out wide. It all depends on whether Walcott signs a new contract or not before/during this window because if he doesn't he could be available for a price that's too good to ignore.
