links between us and villa seem to be growing, same with a 12 mil bid for paulinho. both would make me please. you can never, ever pass up an opportunity to pass up a star like david villa, especially when your strikers aren't being clinical. with mario especially being phased out and dzeko not being able to play in our system, villa and silva linking up again would be more than handy.

a striker with villa's ability would definitely help. we've had more shots than united this season. about 30 in fact. we're getting the chances and not putting them away.

I can't see him coming back to Germany. I think he will go to another EPL club before that, I believe his game style suit perfect with the Italian game and there is a coule options he could go to there.

Sneijder rumours ended by his agent and AVB. I'm not even holding hope that they are bluffing. Can see the likes of Townsend and Livermore moving on loan in January. Cant see anyone major (Eriksen or Willian) signing, probably go for someone like Ince or Atsu to provide cover to Lennon and Bale. A shame we haven't been linked with any strikers who could really push Defoe and Ade for a starting spot

Apparently he had ridiculous contract demands so we decided to sell him for 750k I think? He never looked good enough when at LFC though, certainly has played well since he left though.

I don't know if we would let Welbeck go cause he came through our ranks and he's a Mancunian too, but we'll see. Don't forget we also have Will Keane who SAF said would feature in the first team this season if it wasn't for his injury, and also we have that young lad Wilson who is scoring for fun in the youth team this season.

I would HIGHLY doubt we will be signing Lewandowski. Sounds like a lot of old Tribal Bollocks to me. Not required, not paying huge amounts in January for anyone, the usual crapola United signing everyone headlines.

Yeah it can happen and his goal contribution might fall. But i think the quality player that he is, he'll always be up there in the goal scoring charts if he's playing somewhere in the final third of the pitch.

It was only when the Gunners stopped fiddling around with him as second striker and left winger that RVP realised his potential. Don't shunt players around to make room for a 30m striker who you don't need. Replace Ferdinand and brittle Vidic, replace Scholes - don't buy another striker; its not FIFA.

Don't shunt players around to make room for a 30m striker who you don't need. Replace Ferdinand and brittle Vidic, replace Scholes - don't buy another striker; its not FIFA.

Different teams, players and style of play so you have to consider these factors. But that was just my opinion. Also, i agree we don't need Lew! Rio's still got some gas in his tank and been quite solid this year. Vidic looked comfortable against Swansea in his first full game back. As it stands, we don't need anyone and we shouldn't buy for the sake of it. In the summer though, 1 CB and 1CM depending on one of Scholes or Giggs retiring.
