That's the problem with clubs putting any player on such an obscene contract, you run the risk of losing a lot of money if for whatever reason the player's performances significantly drop and the club decides they want to cut the player loose as is the case with Sneijder.

If Sneijder went to Liverpool he would either be a massive bargain or a massive flop. You went on the side of caution which I am sure quite a few supporters will be happy with
