At the time I wanted him but now that he has funded a nice retirement, it looks like his interest in the game has diminished
So that's your justification into mentioning him and slating him at every opportunity you can?

Yes, yes it is
I don't get it.

He has nothing to do with your club, or had anything to do with it, except have his name bandied about in rumour stories, and you mention him whenever you can.

He played for the club I support and I don't even give him the time of day you do.

The life of a teenager must be a confusing one.

Surely you should be quite happy with him then. Bullet dodged.

Was mentioning Suarez and then crossing his name out really necessary? I mean, it's like you wANt a shit storm to ensue (again), and then complain when it does. It is needless.

Rooney is campaigner, Rio is a campaigner, most of the United players are cvnts on the field. Your manager is a campaigner too.

And I'm sure Rooney being a multi-millionaire has something to do with why Colleen got back with him.
To be fair plenty of footballers are campaigners.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ajax-playmaker-christian-eriksen-8524605.html

Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen has emerged as a summer transfer target for Tottenham and Liverpool.

It is understood Liverpool and Spurs have sent scouts to watch Eriksen “almost every week”, according to a senior source at Ajax, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona no longer interested.

A senior Ajax source said: “Christian wants to play in the Premier League and we think he will do well there. The club had discussed the option of keeping him until the end of his contract but it makes sense now to sell.
“Liverpool and Spurs are scouting him almost every week. Arsenal are no longer interested and Man United are not on the scene. The club will not let him go cheaply so there is a long way to go but it seems likely he will move to Tottenham or Liverpool.”

I'd imagine both clubs will be capable of offering similar transfer fees and wages, so it wouldn't surprise me if both were deploying inside men to do some groundwork in convincing him to join (as we've just done with Lucas & Coutinho). Tottenham obviously have the Jan Vertonghen connection and Liverpool with fellow Dane Daniel Agger. Current Ajax player and former Anfield cult favourite Ryan Babel also still has a strong affinity for his former club and often talks fondly of his experiences at Liverpool (though not of his former manager!), I'm sure he'd also have some positive things to say if his opinion was sought. If Spurs are still in the CL places by the end of the season that may also work in their favour, though I don't claim to know exactly what is going on in Eriksen's head and what his motivations are.

It'll be an interesting battle for his signature over the next few months. Also interesting that Spurs are again looking at a #10 after purchasing Dempsey, Sigurdsson and Holtby to fill that role in the last 6 months for around £15m in fees and on combined wages of around £200k/week if reports are to be believed. For someone who drives as hard a bargain as Daniel Levy a move for Eriksen who would probably cost somewhere approaching £20m and with wages potentially nearing £100k/week this would seem out of character.

Spurs should make the CL places so will be better positioned to make a play for Eriksen. But having said that, they are only Tottenham and we are Liverpool so obviously players would much rather want to play for us, one of the biggest clubs in world football.

When was the last time quality player picked Liverpool over, well anyone?

Sigurdsson and Holtby and thats just this season

Not sure we will get Eriksen, we already have too many for the number 10 role especially now Bale(assuming he stays next year) has moved in there. As it is, I can't see Dempsey staying beyond this season

We weren't after Holtby (Henderson is a near carbon copy of him) and Spurs offered Sigurdsson nearly double what we were offering in wages. As it stands I'm comfortable Liverpool made the right call on not matching that offer. And haven 't you heard Redknapp talking about how much he wanted Suarez and regretted missing out?

Don't think Rooney will be leaving, and certainly not to city, no chance of that happening. If he does leave though, I'd only be happy if we got ronaldo in return. Ronaldo-RVP-Kagawa would be devastating.

Honestly though I hope all rumours are BS as Rooney loves united and I hope he stays and sees out his career here.

I reckon they can finish 6th so as long as the FA Cup finalists are one of the top 5 teams, they'll get it.

Well as it stands we're 3 points behind Everton and 5 behind Arsenal with both of them having to visit Anfield in the run home, destiny is in our own hands

is that why he held the club to ransom, demanded to leave and then got the biggest contract in the premier league because of it?

out of love?

Makes me lol how easily United fans forget this and forgave Rooney. He was willing to leave "the club he loves" for money, talked down the team and it's players and most likely would have left to their biggest rivals across the road.

We've already played Arsenal at Anfield (lost 2-0 early in the season).

Well there goes that theory...

My point being destiny is still in our own hands!
